I am very new with the Mitel 5000 system.

I have a hunt group user who wants it configured so that call coming into the hunt group with simultaneously ring his Mitel 53xx phone and Mobile phone before dropping back into the Hunt group voicemail. He only calls going into the Hunt Group to ring both locations.

I have the hunt group setup right now so it rings his 53xx phone but not his cell phone.

A couple of questions:

1) How do I set call forwarding via the admin interface so calls can be routed to his cell phone?
2) What is the best way to configure this for the user?

Thank you
Brad

Thank you. The Mitel System is the CS5000 with DB version 4.0.3.95.

I have checked the firewall on that network and it is not blocking any outbound traffic and is able to tracert to the Google App servers without issue.

I am at a loss as to where to go from here as the company that sold us the Mitel system is refusing to return our calls or support the system in any way at this time.

Thank you very much

You will have to excuse me on a Noob question here but we recently moved our email services over to Google Apps from an Internally hosted Exchange server.

Our Mitel reseller informed us this shouldn't be an issue and all we would have to do is change our Gateway settings to match Google Apps settings for Unified Messaging to work. We did this but the unified messaging is not working.

Our current settings are:

With Mitel:

The current Gateway Configuration is:

Administrator E-mail address: phone@companyname.com
E-Mail Address: phone@companyname.com
E-Mail Real Name: Google Apps
E-mail Smtp port: 465
E-mail System: SMTP
E-mail username: phone@companyname.com
Gateway Password: #########

With Google Apps:

Imap and Pop are enabled to allow emails to go through the Phone account and Captcha has been cleared

On the DNS side:

With the Companyname.com DNS record we appended our SPF record to allow smtp servers on the IPv4 range to send emails from within the Mitel network to send to Google Apps.

Are there any settings we are missing or anything we can do to troubleshoot this issue via the mitel system?

Thank you
