That makes sense thank you.  After some additional review I determined the issue to be the Microsoft Access 2010 Runtime, I uninstall/reinstalled the Runtime and this resolved the issue.  It appears this is something that has been an issue over the years, I've run this system for ~12 years and the first time I've come across this but a simple enough fix now that I know.  I initially uninstalled the Mitel software and the SQL installation didn't even pay attention to the Access runtime.

Hello,  I recently installed 6.3 SP5 on a Windows 11 PC without any issues, after replacing a 2nd Windows 11 PC (Same base image) I'm running into an issue.  I receive the following error in the event viewer when opening DB Programming, DB Programming starts to open but then it just closes the window and this is in the event viewer. -

Faulting application name: DBProgramming64.exe, version: 6.3.1.0, time stamp: 0x61791661
Faulting module name: Intl5000.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x61791c3f

Faulting package-relative application ID:

The only difference between the two PCs is the first PC was an i5 Gen 10 processor and this one is an i7 Gen 12 w/ vPro.  I mention this as the "Intl5000.dll" I assume is an Intel dll file.  So I contacted my Mitel vendor and they supplied me with 6.3 SP7.  I installed that and received an error: Unable to start the DB Programming session (HRESULT=0x80040154) FACILITY_ITF - This error is interface specific.  A quick search recommended installing OpenSSL 64 1.1.1m, I was able to find OpenSSL 1.1.1s. I installed this and got back to my original error above.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

TE,

They are looking to bring a cell phone into the mix on this extension as well.  Would I be able to add the Cell Phone into the Hunt Group with a Phantom Extension or something like that?  That is part of the reason I am using the DEE right now is they were thinking of doing that and it was easy for me to just add the cordless that way.

Yes this is a 1 phone items... This is an odd duck so only 1 phone I'm doing this with, I will be good on the Hunt Group limits!  I'll be back onsite later tonight and will try this out.

I have desktop phone and cordless in an office and I'm using Dynamic Extension Express (DEE) to have the cordless ring with the desk line.  However, if someone does not pickup I want it to foward to hung group for 15 seconds and then if no one picks up again revert back to the original voicemail.  In testing I can only get the System Forwarding Path to work when DEE is turned off.  Is there a way to use both of these options if I turn on DEE the call rings the desk phone and cordless but then forwards to voicemail.  If I turned it off it rings the desk phone and then forwards to the other line.  I tried to add another route to the DEE but I can't figure out how to route it to a Hunt Group.  I thought maybe with a Phantom line but I couldn't figure that out.  What's the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance,
Greg

Quick update on this, I tried to enable "Human-Answer-Supervision" as it is currently off and the phone then will ring through but the cell phone never gets the call.  Oddly enough I tried something else I ended up changing the Mobile number in the system from their cell phone to mine and tested both ways.  I found using 7 or 10 digit the system worked as expected with my phone.  We are both running Verizon as a carrier and as I mentioned if I call his cell from within the phone system it works just fine.  So the issue appears to be related to his specific cell number, thoughts?

I started receiving some complaints this morning that DEE is going straight to the users cell phone voicemail.  I was informed of this happening to several lines, upon arriving onsite I tested and found only 1 of the lines was this still happening to, the others started working again.  This system has been setup like this for quite some time and no changes were made.  When calling the users ext the phone will ring the desk 1 time and then it will show "handoff" and the caller gets the user's cellphone voicemail.  They stated some of the other phones were exhibiting the same issue but again only could find 1 phone doing this.  I've checked all of the flags and updated the DEE phone number as it was only using 7-digits and our area code is changing to 10-digits required.  If I call the cell phone direct though from the system using 7 or 10 digit dialing it works without an issue and does not go directly to voicemail.  Any thoughts on what I could be missing?

Uninstalling the Cert, Performing a new CSR, and importing a new certificate worked.  I did add domain.com to the alternative names but did not make any other changes.

I am not finding that tool - When I goto MiVoice Border Gateway the options at the top I have are System Status, Service Configuration, System Configuration, and Administration.  Under Administration there is Diagnostics, but no Teleworker Network Analyzer.  Before the cert failed the system had been operational.

That being said I did some additional playing and tried to uninstall the cert and reinstall it.  I noticed when I uninstalled the cert the Web Server seems to keep another cert that states it is good till 2031 almost looks like a self signed but instead of just having the aws.domain.com it also has *.domain.com, aws, domain.com, Internal IP, and External IP listed for Alternate names.  The cert is not valid when trying to connect from a browser but with a browser I can log into MiCollab if I bypass the cert error.  I still get the same error on the Micollab client.  I'm going to do a new CSR and try to start from scratch see if that helps.

I have a client with a MiVoice Business Express System v. 8.0.2.301 MSL 10.5.26.  Last week his cert expired and the local Mitel Vendor told him he had to go out and purchase a new cert so he called me (I'm mainly IT support but I have several clients with Mitel systems so I know enough to be dangerous)  I reviewed and found that he was using the Let's Encrypt integration but due to a change on their end he can no longer renew the cert.  I spoke with the Mitel Vendor and they are working with him to schedule an upgrade which will fix this but it could be a couple weeks before they can schedule.  So I created a Cert via Let's encrypt and installed it, the cert took and MiCollab restarted however his clients still could not connect.  I tested the cert via sslshopper.com to make sure there were no issues and it is good.  I then went into the system and ran diagnostics and it makes it through the first two phases but fails at:

Connection test from public internet to MiCollab Client Service

Error: read ECONNRESET

I did some searching and cannot find anything on this error.  Any thoughts, looking to get him up for now until they can schedule the upgrade.

Thanks in advance,
Greg

So the issue turned out to be... Under Forwarding Paths there is an option "Fwd Call Type - IC Calls" and it is set to default of "No".  Changed that to "Yes" and now the system works for internal and external calls.

Ace,

No worries, this is a part-time gig for me, I normally handle the easy things and call in service for the rest related to the phone system.  These are off the main system, I say 1-8 and 9-12 because there are 12 analog lines off the main system, if memory serves me correctly I believe there is a four-port card that does 8 lines and then we have a second card installed for the additional four lines (not sure if this has the ability for more or not).  I didn't actually go and look at the physical controller last night, it's been a while so my memory could be off a bit.

In regards to verifying the operation while I did not grab out my butt set, I tested 2 analog phones and 2 faxes.  All 4 of them were able to "make" calls internally and externally, however, none of them could receive an incoming call.  I did try two other faxes, as well as most of the lines, are faxes and they did not pick up internally either but I didn't go to those machines.  I caught this issue by sheer luck yesterday I called a few of the departments with faxes to ask if they were having any issues and they were not aware that's what lead me to try to call externally and found that worked.  I also tried to call the extension and then just pick it up anyway and I just got a dial tone when I did that and the other phone continued to ring.

I did not think about looking at the current calls tab, I will try that today and provide an update later.

Update - Rebooted the system to see if that would fix, unfortunately still no good.  Hoping it's an odd setting, fearing it's a bad card!

Hello,

I have 12 Analog lines off the back of my Mitel 5000.  It appears ports 1-8 will only ring if called from an external trunk.  9-12 seem to work either way.  For clarification the internal extension is x104 on one of the lines when I call it the line continues to ring but the phone never will.  If the user tries to pickup the line anyhow they pickup and get dial tone and it continues to ring.  If they call me it works fine.  Now if I call the associated DID for that line then the phone rings and can pickup the call.  I am thinking of rebooting the system but figured I'd check for something stupid first.  Currently on Software Release 6.2.2.13 (6.2 GA3).

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Our provider has been mentioning to us that a system upgrade would be good however we haven't had any major issues and I haven't really found anything that makes me think spending the money and having the downtime are worth it.  The only thing I am seeing now from the MAS standpoint is it still is using SSL 3.0 so I'm looking at upgrading that side with the NuPoint as of right now.  Are there anythings on the new release of the 3300 that stand out and may be worth doing that as well?  Thanks.

Hello,

We have a Mitel 3300 with about 550 phones we have been having an issue lately where someone is accidentally paging and not hanging up the phone.  Normally we hear them talking or something and can determine where the issue is.  However today the system activated and there is no noise at all just showing the page port is busy.  I've disconnected the port from the back of the 3300 and the paging system clears plug it back in and instantly shows active again.  The last time I had this happen I reached out to our local Mitel vendor and was told because it was a feature code there was no way to track it in the logs.  Is there anything someone can think of I've been searching google and looking at the system for about an hour now with no luck.  I've even thought if I can determine which phones are currently active I could better track it however I have not figured out a way to do that yet either.

Thanks,

Greg
