Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: MBG as SIP Proxy
« on: October 26, 2012, 09:43:28 PM »
We have 3 or 4 customers using MBG as sip proxy ,can you register the trunks direct from the MCD as a test ?
- we did have one problem where we could register from the MCd but not via the MBG and it was an issue with routing.

- Also Mid call features is currently broken on the latest MBG and MCD - is with the developers in Canada and should be fixed with next release of MBG due in November

you need to create  a hunt group of type recorder with any number as the pilot
Then add the embedded voicemail ports into it

eg if you have vmpilot of 8000 with members 8001,8002,8003,8004
- make a new pilot 8040 as recorder and add 8001,8002,8003,8004 into it

Also the system must be licensed for advanced voicemail for recording

it used to be a charged license but has been free since ver 9 ( i think)

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Nupoint FCOS/LCOS Export?
« on: August 11, 2012, 07:25:54 AM »
You can export it as a text file but cannot import it

Set your terminal program to log to a text file .
SSH to the server , login as root , open the nupoint console
 console <enter>
navigate through the Nupoint menus
R  F  C        ( reports , FCOS console)

Should send them to the console and be logged to the text file)

you can alos send them to a text file and ftp them from nupoint

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Bria Softphone through MBG
« on: August 11, 2012, 06:28:46 AM »
Are you connecting via wireless or 3G ? We had problems recently with Bria on Iphones when the carrier made some changes to the way they were handling sip over 3G . Once they fixed their issue it worked.

We now have Bria clients on Iphones and Ipads running internally and as teleworkers

Mitel Software Applications / Re: UCA ARID

from the UCA administration tool , you should be able to right click the License info to see the ARID

The only entries that are synchronised are those that have the IP address entered and a number in the IP phone field

for Non ext contacts , we populated those fields using the full direct number in the Ip phone field .
then they show up

Our basic HP config is as follows ( simple and seems to work well)

int 24
name "mitel"
Vlan 1
name "data"
ip address 10.100.10.10 255.255.255.0
untagged 1-23,25-28
exit
vlan 2
name "voice"
ip address 172.16.1.254 255.255.255.0
untagged 24
tagged 1-23,25-28
qos priority 5
voice
exit
ip routing
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.100.10.1
lldp run
- The mitel we have as 172.16.1.2 , 255.255.255.0 gateway 172.16.1.254 ( hp switch)
- in its DHCP server we dont provide any vlan options

The phone boots up and does a dhcp request
the switch recognises it as a voice device and forces it into vlan 2 where it does another dhcp request
the mitel's port is forced into Vlan 2 and every packet leaving it is tagged as vlan 2
- the mitel supplies the dhcp for phones
- our server  in the 10.100.10 network supplies any laptops / pc's with DHCP
our gateway 10.100.10.1 has a static route to the 172.16.1.0 network as follows

route 172.16.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.100.10.10

- ie route all 172.16.1.0 packets to the HP switch

The most important command is the "untagged in vlan2 for the Mitel port"

We have had issues if the last voicemail port has been removed from the voicemail hunt group.

eg for a 20 voicemail port system , if the last port had been made a rad port , we had problems

now we make the first ports rads and always leave the last ports as part of the voicemail hunt group.

I think you also must have a message waiting activate and message waiting deactivate feature access code assigned
