Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Loss of config after power cut.

I have had two sites recently that both run 4.2 software (10.2.2.15) with SSD, both after power custs have come back up with no customer info on it. I was just wondering if this is known issue or if anyone else has experienced it.
When checking the DBMS it shows the flag as on.

Gents. after a spot of advice, had a hdd fail on an MXE 3 and needed to change HDD 2.

When I put in new drive from Mitel (same part code) it can see it but flashes SOS.

Am I right in thinking this is caused by drive size mis match or am I missing something?? ??? ???

Hi all, I have a site that recently went over to SIP and they tell me that since then they lose the cli from the display on the handset when they initiate a call transfer.

Basically call comes in and is answered on a 5330 the calling number is displayed on the 5330, as soon as they push the transfer button the display changes to (Private call on hold) and the number disappears.

They state that this did not happen when they had isdn30. The number stayed on the display.

Suspect it showed something like 070123456765 on hold

Any ideas welcome.

Hi Guys, probably as easy one but cant seem to find answer easily.

If I have a release 5 system and need to add licences to it but it does not have internet access how do I do it.

I know I can do it via software installer and a laptop with internet access via wifi but this involves a reboot, how do I do it with rebooting it.  I have AMC access.

Gents, I am setting up (trying to set up ) a network with one DHCP server and two Vlans, voice and data.
The voice is on Vlan 10 and the data on Vlan 1
Vlan 10 is on 172.22.1.0/24
Vlan 1 is on 172.20.1.0/22

What I need is to be able to route traffic between the two networks using the HP procurve but am unsure how to do it.
I have turned on ip routing but am not sure what to put in the ip route table to allow this to work.
Any help appreciated.

Mitel Software Applications / Mitel UCE and Outlook

I have an issue where the box that allows you to intergrate uce with outlook was not ticked ( left at default ) when it was installed, I now don't have the option for outlook under the lookup tab and cannot get it back despite installing it many times. Any idea's ???

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5550IP problems

I am trying to install a 5550 console and am having issues.

The system is a CXI 2 running latest software and I am installing latest console software.

I originally set the console up using the default 192.168.1.2 controller address and it all worked but was not on custs network.

This worked fine.

I have now installed the system in the rack and changed the IP addreess to 10.14.1.1 (it's on custs network )

I have run console config wizard and set the address as 10.14.1. but it fails to work.

When the software searches for ICP, it see's two  192.168.1.2 as primary and 10.14.1.1 and fails to connect to anything.

I have uninstalled the software and re-installed it and ist still see's 2 ICP's.

I have looked in the config file and cannot see anything, The file is only 1k and holds one line on text.

Any idea's welcome.

Hi, I have just set up a dynamic extension as follows.

Personal ring group 213.   Members 213 and 310

213 is 5330 handset

310 is hot desk user only with external hot desk allowed to mobile number.

Porblem is if I call 213 the 5330 only rings once then the call rings the mobile. They should both ring but I cannot get them to.

I am running MCD 4.2 sp2   10.2.2.??? cant remember but is latest version from Mitel.

Any idea's welcome.   I need both hot desk and 5330 to ring at same time which is what should happen but 5330 only rings once.

If I remove 310 from group and only leave 213 then 213 rings fine. No mail boxes set on anything.

Gents, Issue is that in

Day service calls go to Alt Greeting2 via an analogue extension (used to control routing )

At night call go via analogue extension to name tag hunt group and then mail for an info only message.

Issue is that directly after info message has played the sysem reverts the call back to the Alt greeting 2 .

What am I missing??

Hi, I recently sent out a handset 5312 to a site in Belfast but we cannot get it to connect. Does anyone now the ports that need to be open and are there any incoming firewall rules that need to be set. I have been told it stops at option 128 and this makes me think it cannot see the internet or has lost the ip address I set in it.

Any help or pointers appreciated.

Gents, trying to get some 5610 handsets working on a 3300 running 4.2. I have configured them and they register to IP base stand ok BUT I have no transmission when I make calls to a 5312 handset ( which has the dect stand ). I can call 5610 to 5610 ok and 5610 to analogue ok and analogue to 5312 ok but not 5610 to 5312, its ets call up and I can answer it but get no transmission at all.
Any idea's ?????? ???

Gents, I am in the process of setting up a new system and they require a hunt group that is accessed via the auto attendant to " call forward follow me third party " to a mobile. I can set it up and the system excepts the feature code BUT when I try to use it the call just gets stuck in the menu with the message repeating itself.

The hunt group is also accessed directly by a ddi number and when the hunt group is diverted to mobile it works ok,

Any suggestions welcome ????

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Vlan with two servers

I need advise, I am setting up a new system with an HP Procurve, I have set up two vlans one for the data and one for voice. I am using the Mitel built in server on vlan 2 and the customers data server on vlan 1. I have set up the tagging on the procurve and basically the ip phone will go to the default vlan 1 and option 125 will then point it to the voice vlan 2, this works OK, The handsets boot up OK. If i connect to the back of the handset I can surf the internet BUT I cannot browse to the Mitel system.
If I set a static address on my laptop and a gateway address then I can access the Mitel system but cannot surf the net.

Mitel System ip  192.168.1.2

HP 192.168.0.1

Customers Network is on 192.168.0 XXX

Gateway  192.168.0.200

Voice vlan 2 is on 192.168.1.200

Data vlan is 192.168.0.200

I can ping from Mitel system to 192.168.1.200.

Any idea's or advice welcome.
