Alright
So now I have set the MBG to Server-Gateway mode and configured the static IP.
The IP is pingable.
My phone is not connecting. Still sitting on contacting server.

Any particular reason why it is not able to connect?

I am trying to setup 1 phone to work as a teleworker.
I have only ever done this with an existing setup or with the mitel 250.
We are using a 5320 phone. So I set that up the same way as I always have.

I inherited this system and they have 80 teleworker licenses in the MBG but none have ever been used.

What ports do I need to setup to make this work?

Or do I need to change the MBG to have a direct WAN IP?

But this part stood out to me
More often however, they tell me that when they attempt to transfer a caller to an inside extension, sometimes it will just disconnect the call.

Do a few test calls with the reception people and see what there process actually is. Are they doing a transfer to a DID?
If so then you are compounding the call path uses. 1 for the inbound, then one for the outbound reception to the inbound DID, so 3 per call.

And you will need to actually stand beside them while they do this or they will lie to you about the transfer process.

I have a customer using a 6.3 system.

They have an after hours emergency voicemail box that is setup to cascade to 6 or 7 people.
It is doing this every half hour, is there a way to change that timer to 5 minutes?

The default voicemail greetings and instructions are in the audiotex records 1-5 I think.
Make a CRA with those and see if you can find it.
If someone has recorded over them with their own greeting then delete them and they will be recreated automatically.

I am working on a 6.3.6.21 system that is having PRI issues.
The local provider has done some testing and they are showing a TLOS issue every Thursday at 1am. This lasts until we reset the system.

Can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this?

Good morning,
I have a customer that keeps getting called by an unlisted number. The calls consists of heavy breathing and other unwelcome sounds.

I am fairly inexperienced with this system and am wondering if there is a way we can trace the call and extract the number since this comes through a pri.

They are using release 8.0 sp 3 pr3
14.0.3.51

Any ideas?

It sounds like the DECT module is failing.
You said you changed phones, so I assume you mean you used your working phone in place of hers with the same accessories.
If not then that is what I would look at.

I have a customer that keeps getting the 3 bad voicemail passcodes message.

I have had her change her pin and she has gotten it twice since then.
Is there a particular vulnerability I should be checking on?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Analog Door Phone replacement ideas

I am looking for suggestions for a door phone.
Currently my customer has 2 Avaya Door Phone Model LUADS.
When we took over from their Avaya system we connected them to the SL ports (I Think).
They have gotten water into them and have gradually had more audio issues until now when it is basically a glorified door bell.

They have some nice brickwork outside and these connect to a 6x6 plastic box, so I need a solution that uses the same box. This also needs to withstand being outside and functional at -40C and +35C

Any ideas?

I am running version 6.1.3.28 and am getting the voice processor is full. It is showing at 97% right now.
I manually checked each mailbox and they all show empty.

any ideas where there might be something using all the flash memory or how to clear it?

I tried a reset and that did not help

Create User with admin rights
setup the email address for that user
log into the SAD tool with that user
Activate system monitoring
Setup->manage alarm notifications
checkmark each individual alarm notification you want to receive.
The alarm groups have never worked for me.

The easiest alarm to test is the off hook alarm.

I have only ever had intermitten success with this.

That does seem a very tedious process.

Can't you just renumber phone A to be a different extension. Then number phone B to have phone A extension. Then Change phone A to phone B?

it wouldn't change any of the buttons and is basically what the admin swap is doing.
