Title: inter tel 5000 DEI

I have a intertel 5000 2.2 SW that will not come on line,during reboot I get a DEI ok in the display.
The power light on the DEI is on but the light on the DIE and the 16 port station flash busy.The 5000 server comes up and works along with the voicemail as the A/A will answer calls and route calls to vm boxes.I have tried the DEI on another 5000 cabinet server and same results.From what I can tell there is a problem with the DEI and the 5000 server cabinet both.

OK, you seem to have done the troubleshooting and determined that the DEI cabinet is defective... What is your question?

OK here is the rest of the story, sorry I did not supply the following I tried another know working DEI with the 5000 cabinet server with the same results
DEI flashes busy and the station card flashes busy.
This leads me to think I have an issue with both the server cabinet and the DEI.
Just want to get this confirm before driving back out to the customer location with another server cabinet and DEI.
Maybe the processor card.This happened after a bad storm and assume was caused by lightning.

You may want to consider upgrading to the Mitel MiVoice 250 and move your hardware to the new system. Version 2.2 is from 2007-2008.

Did you use the same expansion cable for troubleshooting?

OK all is working swapped out DEI and 5000 cabinet swapped flash card & sw key into new cabinet everything came back up on line.
