I have a CX controller with a single T1 card in and I am going to install a new MXE with a dual framer. I will be restoring the database from the CX to the MXE but will need to provision the dual framer in the MXE. Will I have to completely remove the T1 provisioning from the CX before I restore the DB or can I restore it and then remove it and provision the dual framer?

Thanks

I just tried 4.2.2.15 and got the same thing. I guess I can try to go to 4.1.0.18 and see if that will work. I'll let you know.

Thanks for responding.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5550 IP console Upgrade
« on: June 07, 2015, 01:35:47 PM »
I'm trying to upgrade an 5550 IP console from 4.0.0.17 to 4.2.2.19. Every time I try to run the software it states it can not determine the current version and the stops the installation.

Has anyone ran into this problem and resolved it?

Thanks

Mitel Software Applications / Sip softphone for Micollab
« on: May 18, 2015, 07:23:19 PM »
I know this is a newbie question but any nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

We are running MiCollab 6.0 and using single point provisioning. I need to add a sip softphone for 30 or so users but I'm not real sure how to build the sip soft phones under each user.

I go under "User and Services"-> "Phones" and choose "Add new phone", and that's where I'm lost as to what to choose.

Phone type, device type...etc

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It didn't require a license at all. Mitel's thought is anything that did not require a license previously now requires a cat "C" license, straight from the horses mouth.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / LBN in ver 6.0
« on: September 29, 2013, 03:48:02 PM »
Is there anyone out there that is using LBN to route 911.

Here's what we have. We have 3 gateways and 2 virtual MCDs for a total of 5 systems. 1 of the vMCD’s has all the users(IP phones) on it and then there are 3 gateways that handle the dial tone out of the 3 different buildings.

We are trying to use LBN to route IP sets local to their own buildings for 911. I just think I'm not completely understanding the flow of the LBN. I understand the default prefix under the LBN # cannot be used in this instance because all the phones are in the vMCD. What I'm having problems with is to get it to recognize the network zone properly with the LBN prefix in it, or should I say program it correctly.

We'll use gtw1=100,gtw2= 200, gtw 3=300 for the Example:

911 is designated in the LBN form, no prefix defined.

Network Zone form has 3 gateways programmed with the.

zone id: 100 Time zone:central/us LBN prefix:1009
zone id: 200 Time zone:central/us LBN prefix:2009
zone id: 300 Time zone:central/us LBN prefix:3009

All other information left empty in the Network Zone form.

I would then program the station attributes form for extension 1200 to have a zone id of 100.

The dial string should look like this if they dialed 911: 1009911.

Whats happening is I can't get the system to route out the proper gateway through the network zone form. It seem to always sends it out the same one.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Does the Mitel 5k require a Cat C license for the old IP Phone plus. I know you need to upgrade the firmware to 8.

Thanks

I think we need more information. It sounds like you may be using dynamic extension??? Are you wanting the actual call to go to the cell phone or do you want the voicemail box to call the cell phone when there is a new message?

Also be sure if your going to do any kind of call reporting that the trunk numbers on each node are unique.

You forgot to take the 5000 with you....lol. Are you using DHCP? Are you using Vlans? Need a-little more info.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / ACD Express Group
« on: August 30, 2013, 01:07:09 PM »
Is there any way to get a caller to be able to dial out of a ACD Express group like you can a ACD path. Problem I'm having is they have a new 3300 with CSM and it doesn't report on anything to do with ACD skill groups or paths. I can get the ACD Express group to do just about everything else they need except for transferring to a MB when they would rather leave a message. Both options are very important!!

Thank you!

Mitel Software Applications / Nupoint
« on: August 26, 2013, 03:34:59 PM »
Is it possible to to have 2 extension got to the same nupoint voicemail box? Ext 5000 and ext 5*000 to MB 5000 on the nupoint. Reason for the star is so the internal callers just have to remember to put a * between the 1st and 2nd number to get through.

Example:

Ext 5000(Hotdesk ACD agent) Already goes to MB 5000 normally,... then I place a putton on the original Phone ext 5000 of 5*000 so that the caller can have another line to make additional calls while still handling the ACD call.

Thanks

Your vendor should be able to request the license be transfered to them with a letter from the customer.

Good luck on getting it done quickly....lol

Make sure you have all DNS information on the 5000 filled out.

No. You can use remote messaging to notify both extension when a new message is left.
