when people dial 1800 on the MiCollab client it is bringing up one of our users. not sure where it would associate that number to that user. any ideas?
-
Do you have an extension 9180 or 1800?
If it has a dialing prefix in there it may be trying to insert the 9 unbeknownst to the user.
-
no the extensions are 3225, 5225 and 7225.
if i call 1800 from a hard phone it fails as invalid.
iu have to dial 81800.... which works fine.
-
What kind of licenses do the phones use? full or multi device

Do you mean the context-based search in the MiCollab client "make a call" box is offering a user as an call option when you type in "1800" because that user has an additional number configured as a "phone" in MiCollab and that number includes the string "1800" somewhere within it?
-
that would be correct. however i cannot find anywhere that the 1800 string is configured
-
Does it offer the user as a call option with their full status information, or is the status blank?
-
it shows the green phone status icon on the right side.
-
So that's not a local contact entry, that's a proper Directory entry that's coming up.
-
where might i find that entry, to remove it?
-
When it comes up, it displays a name? That name will be under Users and Services, and a phone associated with that name will presumably have the string "1800" somewhere in it.
But if it was going to be that easy, you'd never have needed to post it here.....
-
:) for sure, not that easy. i checked users and service, telephone directory, MiCollab.... not finding anywhere that has the 1800 string.

You may want to look in MiCollab client service under this account to see if they have some funky number created
