Title: Mitel 5550 Console software

Question:   Can the latest version of 5550 console software work with older ver 9.0 of the 3300?

Of course the problem is that the customer wants to run win7 but console software support for win7 didn't come out until 4.0.

What I can't find in the Docs is will 4.0 work with 9.0 PBX.

Ah!  The answer is yes!

My problem was with the firewall on the users PC.

I have release 4.0 5550 client working with 3300 Rel 8

I'm up now. 
I just couldn't find a doc that said 4.0 would work with ver 9.0
Would be nice to see a matrix.

Did you find that the user had to be an Administrator of the PC to make the Console software function?

We installed it as administrator but then he was able to log back in as the normal user.
Worked fine.

I have found that if you run the older versions in XP compatablility mode they work fine on 7.
