In Form 09, I want to change the phone from a digital to VOIP, the system won't let me change it over via the mac address for the replacement phone, the Device Type shows an *4025 in the display column. I'm not sure why it has the * in the filed, anyone?

Cannot program an ip set on a digital port

You have to delete the digital set and then build it as a new IP set... Meaning all groups, key appearances, DSS/BLF's on other phones, etc. No other way, sorry.

Thanks, I didn't think it was possible to keep the settings, just needed to verify. Is there a way I can gleam the information off the old set and reprogram the new replacement phone so that it does work the same way? Something in laymen's terms, I'm not much of a phone tech.

you can change the number on the old set. Then compare

I don't want to break anything that I can't fix. Documentation is pretty poor. I'm not finding anything on why there is an *+ phone type in the Desktop Device Assignments - 09 Form. Ones I do see are for the sites Admin Asst. I need to duplicate that if I swap phone type.

My mind is a little fuzzy here because I haven't touched a 200 in years, but I think a * next to the phone type indicates they have one or more PKM's attached to the phone.

I'll look into that.
Thanks

Yes the * means pkm
