How would I go about checking that? And if that is what's happening how would I fix it?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Low Volume On One Phone To Some Numbers
« on: February 23, 2024, 08:18:51 AM »
Running into an issue where a phone in another building (same network) has very low audio volume calling certain numbers, but if they call the same number, on the same outgoing line, from a phone in our main building it's fine.

POTS lines into the HX Controller, Main building phones connected directly to PoE switch which routes through our main network switch to access the HX controller. This other phone is connected to a second POE switch in the other building with a homerun to the main network switch.

I've tried changing echo profiles, I've tried swapping from a 5324 to a 5340 in case the wideband helped. I've confirmed on the handset itself that each outgoing line is set at the max volume allowed.

P1repair will also replace the batteries, and if needed can solder the switches back on if they are broken. Just had 3 handsets done, returned within a month about $95 for 3 batteries, 1 repaired switch, and return shipping.

I do luckily. Though I figured out the issue, for anyone else in the future, the extension I borrowed from an unused location's handset was set to NAT being offsite, which resulted in one way audio. Once I swapped it back to Native it was fine. I would've figured this out faster had I immediately tested it with a wired handset.

I'll try a new module, the handset should be good it was new old stock.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Cordless Handset Mic Issue
« on: November 14, 2023, 04:13:17 PM »
I have two of these cordless handset units, one on a 5340, and one on a 5360. Intermittently one will lose mic audio and it requires re-pairing and restarting the phone then it will work for a while. I just got another to be able to have one to swap in and out for testing and it seems to do similar. However when brushing the mic I can hear the loopback echo on the handset so the mic does work, but I don't hear the audio on the phone I've called to test with.

Anything to test, check, thoughts, ideas?

Thanks for the confirmation, I've got some ordered, and will give it a go and see if that fixes the issue.

TE,

Connected up a set of desk speakers, and did confirm the page port is working. Suspecting that the 3.5mm cable could be bad, any reason I couldn't use something like this to go to a single pair telephone jumper wire? (The mono 2 pin version) https://www.amazon.com/Poyiccot-Plated-4-Screw-Terminal-Connectors/dp/B07PPPX53X/

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Paging Port Output - Line Level?
« on: January 12, 2021, 04:50:11 PM »
Is the Paging Port Output considered a line level out put? For testing purposes could a pair of headphones be connected to the page port to confirm it is outputting page? Our paging stopped working over the weekend, and I'm finding it a bit difficult to test whether the paging output isn't occurring or if there is a failure of either the paging amplifier or zone unit.

I've got page working temporarily with an extra V2001A and a Cisco ATA which we had setup at an external location. If I connect the SIP ATA to a telephone jack and then wire Red to Ring and Green to Tip, the phone system doesn't recognize that anything is connected to the ATA and thus won't connect the "call", it just says "destination is not responding". If I connect the 3.5mm page port (which I've scotchlok'd some telephone patch wire onto) to the Page In on the V2001A I don't get audio out the speakers.

Any thoughts?

I've got tons of things in there, just didn't see much around the time the phone people complained about. If there's something more specific I should look for I can.

Okay good to know.

Yes it is on a battery backup. I do not have any other cards for it, I'd have to reach out to the techs at the installer if that's the thinking rather than it being software.

I was notified recently that our phone system has been disconnecting callers every day at 4:55 PM EST basically. 6 POTS, 1 VOiP connected.

We don't have an automatic night mode STAR in place. Though we have discussed implementing one. Ideas on things to check that could cause this?

Release version: 6.2 SP2
Call processing Vesion: 6.2.5.80

Only thing I seem to see in the System Output logs for that time area is this:
Code: [Select]
-01:733- > -01:290- 16:57 11-26 M2002 INF HW CP [10.1.1]: Off-Line From Loopstart Device
-01:733- > -01:291- 16:58 11-26 M5020 WRN HW CP [1.2.1]: Caller ID Terminated Due To Connect Timer Expired
-01:733- > -01:292- 16:58 11-26 M2002 INF HW CP [10.1.1]: On-Line From Loopstart Device
