I have problems connecting to MCD 7 with Internet explorer 11.
I have gone through the net and KB article 13-5191-00315_v2.doc
Is it just the case that 11 doesn't work and the only way is to downgrade to 10?
I have tried clearing the cache, compatibility view, etc.

IE11 should work fine with newer MCDs, that is what most of our techs use... what is the actual issue, and have you tried Firefox (I hate IE, but keep my laptop on IE8 with the latest FireFox and have had no issues connecting to anything)?

I agree with you that the best way to connect is Firefox or earlier version of IE.
But I have read posts saying that it is possible and I want to find the answer.

Change your compatibility view settings for the MCD's IP address. If it's on, turn it off, if it's off, turn it on.

Don't forget to restart it after changing the settings and often clearing the cache helps.

thought I had got it on site A and it worked after taking it in and out of compatibility mode but site B still getting the same issue. I have tried restart and clearing the cache.
Anyone got any more ideas?

I have found F12 on IE 11, you set the Document mode to the level you require and then you can save this option by persist emulation setting enable.
