Title: Mitel UC360 reading logs
Post by: irongladiator on August 18, 2015, 01:10:41 PM
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs,
Just curious what people normally use to read the log files from the Mitel UC360? Opening it up in notepad is crazy hard to read/decypher as it is all jumbled together. I was curious if anyone here uses a specific program designed to break this stuff apart making it easier to read. Or is this just the way it is? Attached is a sample file. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Thanks,
-Matt W.

I used a text editor called EditPlus.

Bought it a number of years ago. Has some really nice find and replace abilities.

It opens your log file correctly.

I use notepad++ for programming.   notepad-plus-plus.org/ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/)
It may be overkill for this but it's pretty decent too.

ralph/bluewhite4,
Thanks for the replies. Wordpad opens it up good! I may give edit+ a shot (even though it is $35.00, may be worth it just for the support) but am seeing that Notepad++ is also a freebie. Didn't know there were so many options!!  :) :) :)

Thanks,
-Iron
