Title: Remote Directory Number help
Post by: SUSD on January 20, 2014, 01:38:19 PM
This is new to me, what is Remote DN ?  Why is it used ?
This is set up for about 30 phones/faxes in my hospital, 4025s, in various locations with CEID 102.

I need to change this phone ext 7000 to a did ext 6000, but I can't identify the circuit for the ext 7000 to change it.  It's not listed under DNI phones.  It's got to have a circuit that it's attached to?

3300 MXe  Rel 4.2 / 10.2

Thanks.

A Remote DN is a DN that is hosted on an other system within your cluster.

There's a form call "Remote Directory Numbers" where you can find where numbers exist.
It will show you the cluster element number.   If you then look in the "Cluster Element" form you will see which system the Cluster Element Number belongs to.

OK, working with 2 controllers is new to me. It makes sense now.

Appreciate it.
