Title: Teleworker and Border Gateway
Post by: ASCStech on March 30, 2010, 08:57:26 PM
i am currently running a teleworker solution on MSL 8.2.15.0 and need to upgrade the server to run Border Gateway. looking at the docs it appears straight forward but just checking before doing the install, any potential pitfalls?

also have noticed that there is a service called 'TUG' ruuning, does anyone know what this is?

Thanks

Just investigating further with a colleague how is well versed in LINUX, as we have SSH at the root level, are we able to just use the GET command to get the update package from the update files and then reboot? has anyone evre been down this path?

The upgrade process of a teleworker to an MBG is an easy process, there shouldn't be any problems.

As far as a I know the TUG service is the teleworker service, as this service is only installed once the blade is installed. There are also logs for the TUG, which might provide more information.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Pretty sure MBG will only run on MSL 9 so the upgrade process is actually to uninstall the TW blade, install the new version of MSL over the old version (it will reformat the disk) and then download MBG blade from AMC and install then restore a backup.

PS before you do it browse to the TW from a windows machine and take a couple of screen shots of the TW config page etc as this is like having a second backup. Also get all the IP address info from the server console if you haven't already got it as you will need to enter this again.
