They're just re-branded Mediatrix units, according to the Mitel SIP COE compatibility doc.
-
To expand further, the 7102 is a re-branded Mediatrix 4102, while the 7104 and 7108 are re-branded C7 series units. Would be nice to see a Mitel version of the C731 added since the current line is FXS-only.

Currently we use Cisco SPA112 and SPA8000, do you think we should switch to those ?
-
On the subject of ATA's does anyone know of ones that will work in a non environmentally controlled area
(think power substation in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere)

I don't think you need to make any change with them
-
I wasn't clear, I don't plan on replacing the ones we have, but we're installing new ones a couple of times a month.
It seems the Mediatrix are unknown in my country (France) unlike the Cisco, the price is crazy expensive too.

If what you're using today works and the price is right, no reason to change.

Does anyone know the maximum distance supported from the FXS port to the phone for the TA710x ATA?

Since these are essentially Mediatrix 410X devices so 450 meters or about 1476 feet (probably 1500', that is most ONS ATA's), of course this is dependent on several factors... device connected, cable quality and condition, etc.
Station line length can reach up to 450 m of internal cabling in the 2-wire “loop start” signaling arrangement.

Thanks acejavelin. I do not understand why this spec is left out of the product data sheet under Mitel.
Now, I received a question from our partner how to compute the distance supported if the thickness of the cable is 0.9mm.

I've received some of these 7100s - just started playing with them. The doco for them is under "end user documents".
What I can't find though, is a document describing what needs to be done on the controller to register the analog devices that are attached to the ATA.
I'm guessing they are setup as a SIP device.
-
Yes, as SIP terminals. Then, of course, you should see the TA IP address as the IP of of those SIP terminals in your PBX.
