Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Outgoing trunk call CPN

Since we're on the verge of updating our release, I'm punting this until that time.  I'll revisit then.  Thanks for the help everyone.

Blue said "newer" Associated Directory Number.  I don't see how that form should be programmed, but perhaps it's because I"m not on a "newer" version.  I'm on R. 7.

That's what I thought too, Chakara.  Thanks, blue, I'll check that form out and see if I can squeeze in a system reset.

There's a couple of search hits for CPN, but none that match my issue.  Here's the specs of my trunks:

2 NI2 PRI's connected to AT&T, both programmed as follows:

Controller Module:    3
Port:    1
Link Number:    17
Interface Type:    T1
Protocol:    NI2
Protocol Variant:    Bellcore
Network side/Q.SIG Master:    False
Enbloc:    False

Q.SIG Only
  Fake Answer Supervision:    False

Enable Unknown TON/NP:    False
Comment:    AT&T

I'm trying to send the calling station's DID as the CPN to the provider.  I've spent a lot of time on the phone with their testers makig sure that their call screening table has my DID range and that they are not inserting their own CPN.  All my outgoing call CPN shows as 8655314545. My DID's are 292-0500 to 292-0699.  The carrier expects 10 digits in my outgoing CPN.

Here's my DID Ranges for CPN Substitution table:

Index: 1
DID Range: 500-699
CPN Substitution: 8652920xxx

Here's my CPN Substitution table:

Controller Module Port Link Number Protocol Default Voice CPN Default Data CPN
3 1 17 NI2 8655314545 8655314545
3 2 18 NI2 8655314545 8655314545

DID Ranges
Link Number Index
17 1
18 1

In my Trunk Service Assignment, the COS has
Display Dialed Digits During outgoing Calls - Yes
Public Network Identity Provided - Yes

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Best way to program my ACD
« on: September 18, 2009, 10:02:35 AM »
Thanks.

My Queue 800 number is tied to a local DID (so 877-864-xxxx is 292-0544 in my system).  So 544 is an extension and a voicemail box.  How do I get 544 to play the message I want, offer the option to leave a voicemail and then divert to my path?

I've had the same setup that I built 2 years ago, menu node mailbox with extension with greeting and multiple paths corresponding to different queues.  I'm wanting to change this now to remove my menu options.  Here's what I need to do:

Dial a DID for my queue

Play greeting and offer the option to leave a voicemail or hold for an agent

Transfer to a Path

Every minute play a RAD with interflow to a voicemail (I know how to handle this part)

Any suggestions?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Disable SSL
« on: September 15, 2009, 03:33:53 PM »
Here's the deal.  We need to packet sniff our internal Mitel network to get call control info on calls.  I turned off voice encryption, but the the call setup information is SSL encrypted.  Can this be turned off?  I'm sure it can't through the UI, so if that's through SSH, then I can live with that.  has anyone needed to do this and if so, how?  Thanks in advance.

« on: August 27, 2009, 08:13:26 AM »
Chakara,
Strange thing.  The same carrier (and the same installer for that matter) installed 3 cards in the smart jack.  The first one I turned up 3 weeks ago with a T1 cross over cable.  The other 2 (including the one in this thread) is straight through.  Thanks for the tip.

Not the same issue, but I didn't see starting another thread.

I have an NSU FIM connected to a 3300 ICP R.7.

L0 is connected to an active Ni2 PRI from the carrier with a CAT5 crossover cable.

If I loop back to the NSU, the alarm clears.

If I loop back to the smartjack, the alarm clears.

When I go normal through, there's a red alarm on the NSU and on the smart jack (showing RLOS)

I programmed the following on the 3300:

Link Descriptor Assignment (B Message Control, ISDN Node, ADI Voice Encoding, B8ZS and ESF)
Digital Link Assignment Form
MSDN-DPNSS... (Universal T1, Toll Office)

I configured a new IMAT DB for all the same options - NI2, 5ESS variant, ESF, B8ZS

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

That's probably it, but I can't connect with IMAt if there's no IP and I can't use IMAT if it won't boot up so something went South.  If this ever comes up again with someone else I can research some more, but for now I'm good.  Thanks.

That got it.  Something appears to be corrupted on the DB of the NSU.

I went ahead and swapped out the NSU.

Well, the bootstrap error is not occurring, but I now get the following error when the NSU boots up:

Actually, I found it by accident.  The Tech handbook said I only needed to program the Network Services Unit Configuration form.  I did, but that still didn't get it.  I went ahead with the other forms to program the span and now I can connect.  Maybe it was the Digital Trunk Assignment form.
