MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / overhead ringer help

Hey folks - what have you done to accommodate overhead ringing? Would use an analog ringer from Valcom or Viking or even a SIP device but our incoming LS lines ring a hunt group with an extension list full of digital phones. You can't add these device types so I'm looking for some suggestions.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / paging inquiry

Have a branch cabinet CXII with a paging system providing dialtone and expecting dtmf digits to choose a zone connect to loop start port 1. From a set connected to the local cabinet I can dial the trunk access code plus the trunk ID and the dialtone is returned and I can pass dtmf and all is well. The issue lies with doing this from another MiVB in the cluster. I can dial the element ID plus trunk access code plus ID and the correct dial tone is returned but dtmf does not seem to pass.

Anyone have any thoughts? Is there something with COS on the the direct IP route between elements?
For what its worth - calls between extensions connected to each system seem to pass the dtmf to my ear when on a normal call.

Hey Folks - just wanted to check in with those of you who have been around the system for a while. We've got a few sites with virtual MiVBs in a cluster with a MiCollab and they are on a early 8.0 release. Any advice or tips on how to work on getting them current and minimizing frustration with upgrades?

Anyone have any customers with this product? I believe it's called the Mitel Connect? The lineage is hard to follow but you log in via portal.shortelsky.com and you can use the 69xx series phones.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Direct Voice Calls

Documentation is showing that Direct Voice Calls override DND - is it not possible for DND or Make Busy to stop a Voice Call from occuring? If that's the case, a bit of a bummer for all users that can't see presence.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / partial PRI span

See my table below - we don't have a full span from our provider, just 8 channels. I thought we had 12 but we started getting random busies as the day progressed. I busied the specific circuits so that I could remove them from the trunk group but now I'm getting trunk alarms for the 4 that I've got busied. How can I get them back to unassigned and clear that alarm?

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab Next Gen?

Support on Friday was telling me that my failed to connect to server error with the MiCollab desktop and web based client is because I need a third party i.e godaddy or the like cert and that the built in cert isn't good enough. This is for access on a local network only. The hostname resolves okay - seem fishy to anyone else?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / multiple mivb consoles

Anyone have any experience with these? We are looking to use 1 or 2 at multiple physical locations off 1 virtual controller. Basically, DID point to console group for that physical location. The separate console groups shouldn't answer for each others DID. From what I'm reading in the manpages I'm not thinking this is doable as when the last console goes absent it puts the system in night mode, etc. Thoughts?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Hosted Mitel?

Is anyone familiar with what the names being used for the hosted solutions are? Trying to pin some training down. The extent of my knowledge or lack thereof is Shortel had a hosted - Shoretel Connect? I've heard Oria thrown around and think that is Mitel form the start. Also seeing some MiCloud connect. Can someone point me in the direction of anything on the Mitel site explaining the line or give me a quick rundown.

Can someone help me understand the difference between a mdug and prg? All of stations have typically been created as an MDUG because that's what the UCC license provides for.

A specific scenario I am trying to apply to would be a desk phone and a cordless phone. The desk phone is currently using the MDUG license because of UCC and the cordless phone is using a full license. What I'm looking for is both phones to ring, handoff, etc.

Had a happily clustered setup of a virtual and MXe III that I just added another new virtual to - now I'm seeing license violations because SDS is off on the DLM? SDS is set to on, has anyone see this before?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Support Lately

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

Learned about phone systems with the Toshiba platforms and now our company is partnered with Mitel.

At the start of the year when I would call into the support queue I could get help on that call by knowledgeable folks even if I was on hold for a while. The last 5-6 times I've called, it's been picked up nearly immediately and I haven't gotten any immediate assistance. The support agent has me repeat my issues and then asks to continue troubleshooting via email. What gives?
