Title: Advanced UM not working for a user

Hello I am a newbie to this forum and to the Mitel platform........so please be gentle....

I am trying to figure out which log I can be looking at to figure out a problem I am having with a user that is not receiving advanced um voicemails in her email. I have her E-Mail Alias setup as firstname.lastname and that is also her Active directory login info as well (firstname.lastname) I was told these had to match for advanced UM to work.

I did try doing a test voicemail myself and she never got it in her email. So again where can I check to find out the problem could be?

Start by looking in the maintenance/software logs to see if there is anything there.

Is anyone's VM being sent to their email?

NuPoint voice mail is not embedded.

Can you double check the alias that you are using? In my org, we use what would be the exchange alias in AD which is first initial and first 7 characters of the last name. And also make sure that you entered something in the password field- Advanced UM on Nupoint will use the exchange super user but the actual mailbox will never enable unless you 1- change the FAC to Adv UM and 2- enter the correct alias and enter something in the password field. There is a command that you can enter if you putty into the Nupoint, as root, that will allow you to monitor real-time exchange activity such as mailbox initialization, etc.

We use full email address under Standard Email #1. Maybe try putting in your email address and leaving a message for that extension to see if it works.
