Hi

We have a 3300CXi and I'd like to put a configuration in place that delivers the following:

*  Inbound call (internal or external) dials extension (e.g. x3005)
*  extension ring 4 times (this seems to be the default on our system anyway) and then diverts to another extension (e.g. x3000)
*  x3000 rings 4 times and then if unanswered, diverts to the voicemail for x3000 - not x3005 as seems to be the default behaviour.

Same behaviour applies if x3005 is busy.  Would appreciate any assistance you're able to offer.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

I've been asked to configure our 3300CX so that:

*  all calls into the general/main number receive a 'holiday hours' message (done); and
*  all unanswered calls into DIDs get diverted to the general number voicemail mailbox

I've configured the call-rerouting sections so that all incoming calls into the DIDs are diverted to the general/main number but while the divert seems to be working fine, the general number's voicemail never 'answers' these calls.  Any suggestions as to what I've done wrong???

My config change was pretty simple - I:

*  configured the general number to have a first alternate number of the voicemail ext.
*  configured all other extensions to have a first alternate number of the general number extension.

I would have though this would have worked but apparently not :-(.

Thanks in advance for any help you're able to provide.
Cheers

Hi

I've purchased some additional mailbox licenses for a client.  When I go to update the license count (through Licences > License and Option Selection > Change > Retrieve Licenses), I get the following:

*  Message "Please wait while data is retrieved"
*  The licence count is then updated correcly.  I then click "Save" and get a message which states "Please wait while your data is saved"
*  Message "Internal System Error"

& the license count is not updated.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Version details are:
Release level 4.1
Active Software Load 10.1.0.69_1

Thanks!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Intermittent PRI Drop-outs
« on: April 26, 2010, 06:04:06 AM »
Hi

Since upgrading to MCD 4.1 (10.1.0.69_1), I have been having intermittent drop-outs on my E1.  I upgraded the software on a Thursday evening but on the following Sunday, we started having intermittent call drop-outs on both inbound and outbound calls and a 'ticking' every ten seconds or so on the external parties phone.

Our PBX tech guys have suggested that this is a carrier-side issue but they've been unable to find any issues and it seems strange that the ISDN service had been running perfectly for the 12 months leading up to the upgrade.  A restart of the card (LOAD 6 1 2) does not seem to resolve the issue but a restart of the controller (LOAD 1) does seem to rectify the issue for a couple of days but both times I've restarted the controller, the issue has returned.

I'd be interested in any opinions/suggestions you may have.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Confiiguring 5320 Handsets
« on: March 03, 2010, 05:10:51 AM »
Hi

A quick one hopefully..

I've just purchased some new 5320 handsets for my 3300CXI but when I go to configure a user to use them, the 5320 model is not listed in the drop down within System Configuration > Devices > User Configuration.

I'm hoping I've overlooked something simple but my gut tells me this will require a controller software upgrade in order to resolve.....I'm trying to avoid that if at all possible.

Cheers

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / General Number Configuration
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:23:03 PM »
Hi

We have a customer who have approx 30 staff, 5 of whom are 'Administrative Assistants'.  They have no receptionist and currently have their general number terminating on one of the Admin assistant's handsets (let's call her AA1).  The issue with this is that if AA1 is arleady on the phone and more than one other call comes into the general number, this call goes straight through to the general number's VM.

Rather than modify this solution, what I would like to do is put a config in place where I set up a new 'group' that contains all admin assistants and the general number rings that group.  This (hopefully) would give them the capacity to take up to 5 concurrent calls, with any overflow going through to voicemail.

Assuming the above makes sense, how would I implement this?  Also, I'm open to any other suggestion as to how to approach this....

Thanks!

Greg

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Voicemail Timestamp Issue
« on: October 14, 2009, 06:11:22 AM »
Hi

I'm having an issue where 'voicemail to email' emails are timstamped incorrectly (14 hours in the future).  The time on my 3300cxi is fine (both phones and management GUI display correct time and date) and I checked what I believe to be the obvious candidates and have not come across anything that seems suspicious.

I saw on a previous, similar post a suggestion that said I should look at the timezone setting on the "Networked VM Servers" but this is embedded voicemail, so there is no such option.

Below is the text from one such email (containing a voicemail) from 2:14 PM on Wednesday the 14th of October:

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Conference Call Capability
« on: October 08, 2009, 05:40:51 AM »
Hi

We have a Mitel 3300cxi and were wondering if it is possible to set up a conference call facility?  That is, a single extension/DID that internal and external people can dial into.

We would need:

*  an auto answer capability - that is, new calls are added to the CC without the need for any human intervention
*  the ability to handle up to 15 calls concurrently

We would like:

*  the ability to 'secure' the CC via a pin number

We do not need:

*  anything fancy like call recording, logging etc.

I realise we can use a third-party service but am hoping to be able to leverage the functionality of the Mitel if it's at all possible.

Thanks!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Headset Operation
« on: August 06, 2009, 04:50:15 PM »
Hi

I've been asked to setup a Plantronics headset for a user with a 5215 handset (has a dedicated headset port).

I configured a 'Headset' button on their phone and have plugged the headset into the jack but when I put the phone into 'Headset' mode (using the configured button), I still can't get the heaset to work.

Is this all I need to do on the configuration side?  If so, then I guess I need to start looking at the hardware (i.e. headset or handset).

Cheers

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Divert active call to voicemail
« on: August 04, 2009, 06:28:23 AM »
Hi

Have a 3300cxi with 5215 handsets.  Have been asked by a user if it's possible to divert a call to voicemail from the handset while the call is active.  So, a call comes in, the user sees the caller ID on the display and then decides they don't want to take the call.  They press a button and the call diverts straight to voicemail.

Is this possible and if so, how do I configure this?

Thanks!
