Title: Cant delete a user??? Mitel 3300
Post by: drew.rsm on January 31, 2012, 04:02:10 PM
Trying to delete a user from the system.

I get a message "one of the lines on this device is currently in user"

If I try to clear the keys first I get "Users are associated with this hosted service"

I deleted the name from the Telephone directory (google made me do it)

Thoughts?
Thanks

Drew

One of the buttons on the phone is either a keyline appearance of another phone that is busy
or
More likely, you have a message waiting button that is active on the phone.  Delete the message and you should be able to delete it.

When you see "Users are associated with this hosted service" it means you have to delete it from the tel dir 1st.  From your message I think you've already done that.

Had the same issue recently and had to reboot to fix. Check Ralph's suggestions first and if no success try a reboot

Thanks! A couple of things..

Yes, the message waiting light was on. I killed it (not somethign as obvious as I thought it would be)
Still didnt do the trick so I had to delete the entries from the Telephone directory.

That worked.
