Acd path only has 1 member that logs in to take calls. (The other member doesn't like talking on the phone for some reason.)

Member logs in and takes a call. She is on calls for 10-20 minutes on average. If another caller enters the queue, it takes about 15 rings before the RAD greeting is played, and then the caller never leaves the queue.

Supervisors want to have callers route to voicemail from the ACD path is nobody is available to take the call. We have the Path Unavailable answer point set to a live extension that reroutes 1st alt to voicemail, but the call never seems to get there.

Any suggestions?

If you're using a call forward key on his phone, make sure you set the forwarding profile for the key and make sure it's turned on.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / New phones on old firmware
« on: November 12, 2019, 02:52:01 PM »
We have a customer still running an old school 3300 controller (pre MXE/CX series) on 4.0 firmware. They have mostly 5224 IP phones with 2 or 3 5324 IP phones on boot load 02.04.something.something.

The last 2 times we have been out, we have tried installing new 5324 IP phones but they are running 06.00.something.something. The attempt today results in getting an L2 DL error and the phone automatically resetting. Even when programming matched existing phones and used in an known working port, kept getting the same error. or would get TFTP svr unavailable error.

Did the latest builds on the phones knock out it's ability to register with older firmware versions? I know phones can upgrade or downgrade to match the boot load. Wasn't sure if the latest versions of phone firmware block older boot loads? or if it's a hardware compatibility problem?

Does anyone have a procedure to manually downgrade phone firmware for just such an occasion?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: SIP trunk seperation on 3300
« on: November 12, 2019, 02:45:52 PM »
For anyone who comes across this post,

We ended up adding a dedicated MBG for the outside SIP connection. Had to program the IP's on the MBG to look at the local IP addresses while the SIP traffic from the 3300 was pointed at the public IP set by the carrier. Set the MBG to server- gateway mode and it all work fine.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP trunk seperation on 3300
« on: August 02, 2019, 01:14:15 PM »
Current system has a PRI to a t1/e1 card providing trunks. my customer wants to know if there is a way to have the same style setup on their new 3300 but with SIP trunks. They don't want to run the trunks through the same NIC as the phones. I don't think this is possible, but what's the harm in asking?

We just installed 2 of these consoles on a customer site. All works well save the voicemail transfer option. I checked the help guides and programmed the direct transfer to voicemail in the 3300, following the guides for call coverage services and feature access codes. I can get the option to work on a regular IP phone but can't get it to work on the console.

Using the procedure of answering a call, trying to press the voicemail button on the console screen. The button doesn't even respond. I can still transfer the call to an extension and it will follow the call routing to voicemail for that extension. Customer needs to be able to transfer direct to voicemail per their management mandate.

Mitel Software Applications / NuPoint VM to Email failing
« on: April 22, 2019, 12:51:52 PM »
Customer is having to reset the MBG nupoint server to push vm to email notifications. Everything will work fine for a few days, then the server has to be reset again. My supervisor mentioned something about the problem being with password changes made in Office 365 and there is a command line to locate the offending mailboxes in Nupoint, but we do not have the CMD line sequence. Is there any other reason we could be experiencing this issue?

Mitel 3300 on ver 8. 50 IP phones on 2 different subnets with 2 different buildings. System is currently hooked to a PRI circuit for trunking. Users have desk phones and some are multi device twinning to a cell phone. Router exists at both buildings. Both routers are WatchGuard. Main router is a Firebox M400. I don't know what type the 2nd building has. Under these circumstances, all services and calls work perfectly with 0 issues.

We switched to SIP trunking this morning and everything worked......for about 10 minutes. By the time we got on site, this was our list.

--Inbound and outbound calls with 2 way audio worked on subnet 1.
--Sip trunks would go out of service intermittently for no more than 4 minutes, then return to service automatically.
--Some calls in progress were reported to have dropped one side of the audio stream during the call.
--Twinned calls answered on a cell phone have no audio on subnet 1. one way audio on subnet 2.
--Subnet 2 can receive inbound external calls but cannot make outbound external calls.
--All internal calls work perfectly.

Once we switched from SIP back to PRI, all our problems disappeared.

Can anyone give me any idea of what to do to resolve this? I'm not familiar with Watch Guard firewalls. I know that ports were opened in the firewall for 5060 and the recommended RTP ports. Is there anything else we could possibly be missing?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Need to understand FTP filepath
« on: May 26, 2017, 11:08:35 AM »
We have a customer wanting to schedule backups to his server, We know that we have to use FTP transfer for scheduling.

When I test it out, I can get a backup to download to my ftproot folder. By leaving the path name blank in the FTP settings, the file goes automatically to C:\inetpub\ftproot

What is the correct way to tell the ftp settings that I want the file to be saved somewhere other than my ftproot folder? How do I type that in correctly?

I'm trying to use a file path of C:\Users\username\Desktop\Mitel test
