Title: RAD wont play
Post by: bberg on April 01, 2011, 12:22:57 PM
Having a slight issue with the creation of a RAD on a 3300.

I start in VM System Settings under VM ports. I throw the number 4084 (This was just a random number) on Port ID 5.

From here I go under VM greetings and set port ID 5 to play RAD Set 15.

I then swith to VM RAD greetings and set RAD Set 15 to play greeting 6...I hop on the admin mailbox and record greeting 6 and save it.

From here, I would think that a direct dial of 4084 would play that greeting 6 RAD. But I instead get a direct line termination.

Essentially, what I need to have happen is a have the Overflow of an ACD group play this RAD and end the call whenever no agents are logged in. I Have the Hunt Group created for this 4084 RAD and it is a member of the Hunt Group (Of which is set to Class of Service 5 - the RAD COS). A direct call to that hunt group has the same result as a direct call to 4084.

Essentially I was thinking that maybe I needed to set the Class of Service of 4084 to 5 in order to represent that it is a RAD...although it appears as if only groups receive COS settings.

Seems like I'm missing one small step, but several hours later...and I still haven't seen it!

So, per my normal request - Please help!

Thanks as always guys!

Both groups and terminations get COS. In this case, yes you need to set the COS of 4804 to be that of a RAD.

From the help:
"2.Class of Service Options form
Assign a Class of Service for the RAD greeting voice mail ports, with the following options:
3.Set "COV/ONS/E&M Voice Mail" to "No".
4.Set "Recorded Announcement Device" to "Yes".
5.Set "Recorded Announcement Device - Advanced" to "Yes".
6.Set "'ANSWER PLUS - Delay To Message Timer" to the amount of time to wait before the RAD greeting begins to play after the port answers"

Bluewhite -

Looks to be just what I'm looking for! But I'm having a little trouble finding just where I can set the COS of that number.

I have my Class of Service group all setup with those options, but I can't seem to find where I tie it to the 4808 number...Can't find what menu it would be under to do that

Go to the station attributes form.

Ok, thank you Ralph...found that.

Bad news is that it was already set to our default RAD COS (DnD is off). I even tried to make a new CoS with just the settings described...and now I get an error when I try and hear the RAD.

Go to maintenance commands.   Do a "loc fe ext <rad exten number>" to see if DND is on.
If yes, use the "remote DND Cancel" feature code (FAC).
