Title: YA Lite with Softphonoe - Vista Compatible?
Post by: philschl on January 08, 2008, 05:59:51 PM
Hi Guys,

Anyone know if the YA lite with sofphone is Vista compatible?

The most recent version I have is 3.0, and it does not install on Vista.

My Mitel supplier promised the release of a new, Vista compatible version many months ago, yet nothing has materialised.

Any help appreciated!

Cheers,
Phil

Hi,

Yes I am looking too... We run YA 3.1 and have not been able to find out if there is a Vista release.  We have asked our Oz reseller but nothing yet.

If anyone has it working please let me know.

Thanks
mancini

I have thought of running a 3.0 version in a VMWARE XP on Vista.
Anyone tried that?
I wonder how that will interact with the VPN tunneling.

Wish I had more time to try it out.

Any quick instructions would be helpful!

Cheers,
Phil

Hello,
I became aware that it was not compatible with Vista at a custumer site, when I tried installing it. After consulting with Mitel Europe it was announced that around april 2007 a new version of YA (4.0) will be Vista compatible.

Mitel - while partnered with Microsoft - is a bit slow to implement.  For example - try to do Advanced UM with NuPoint on a Exchange 2007 server....

As I write this, I am going through the update training for YA.  The latest version 4.1 now supports Vista for both client and server.
Although I looked, I could not find anything that mentioned YA Light.
