For some reason this widget has decided that it should auto open on every page of the board (except the home page). It then blocks out quite a lot of stuff because you can't close it.

Can it be removed from the site or brought under control please....or is it something in my setup (I haven't changed any settings that would affect it; it only started happening this morning...)

have an issue with silent moinitor on a MCD 5.0 CX.

Enabled it and it seemed to work but now only works intermittently....works fine every time on internal calls but intermittent on external calls even on same extension.

So call comes in to station and is answered and the trainer dials the FAC and DN of the station and sometime it works fine and others it just sits with "waiting" on the trainers screen. There does not seem to be any pattern.....for instance 3 calls on the go and dial the DN of one of them and you get through but can't monitor the other two.

I assume you should be able to monitor 15 people on a CX11 as the max number of people in conference is 30.....


Anybody any ides?

So, how do you do it. MCD5.0 on a CX using embedded VM

The only way I can see is to delete it and recreate it from scratch ( I really only want to put a different operator number in; I have bodged it using a system speed call for the present...) is this really the only way to do it? And will it cause any problems that will bite me in the ass .....

Any help appreciated.

Twice in the last week or so i have had systems that have rebooted or been rebooted and come back up with everything in place EXCEPT for the Trunk information. Hence both were working apart from being able to make calls. ALL the trunk settings had dissapeared on both systems (one basic rate one SIP only) and a restore from a bckup brought them back.

But my worry now is...how many more are going to do this (and yes I know about UPS's and yes they should have them but you try and convince my tight customers).

The first one went down on a power cut and the second one we had to pull the power on because we had got locked out of the esm and as far s I know you can't reboot via the console?

Is there any way to restore a backup from the console? would save a bit of messing about in the one with the lcoked out esm....

Anyone else suffered this?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / System Login password

Having difficulty logging in to a remote user site and I'm certain that the password I'm using is correct. V5 sp1 MCD on CX platform.

Won't let me login. says that the password is incorrect. I've made sure that the caps lock is not on. I am connecting via a vpn and using IE7 to log on (JOOI I can log on to other systems fine using the same IE7 connection when not on the VPN.

So either the password has failed for some reason ( we are the only ones that know it as far as I know) or its got changed.

To save me a visist to site is there any way I can retrieve the password from a backup (I have one here)?

or is it a visit to site and do the password change through the serial port?

if anyone can confirm the password change command I would also appresiate that. i understand that this can only be done via PM.

Asking here for completeness, Mitel DECT headset connected to a 5340 works fine (up to a point) can have conversations etc. Just that you can't answer or clear down a call using the hookswitch on the headset (it doesn't answer if you pick it out of the cradle either (if its in). You can answer and use it by pressing the prime line and the cancel key.

Tested for internal calls only at present.

Anybody have any idea?

Engineer just done the basic course and passed including the new 10 question bit....but on the course they never mentioned remote admin.

So my question is....what options are there for remote admin? On the 3300 we just get a remote admin to a server or a user or a IP address for access and do it all from there. From what I can see the easiest way would be to put the programming software on a server and do much the same as we do now and log into it live but what other options are there if remote admin off a server is not possible?

Bit of an awkward one this....but maybe someone has seen simolar.

Mitel 3300 CX connected to SIP trunks via a firewall (which i don't control) to Hipcom trunks. Everything seems to be fine except hat when you do a consultation hold (transfer) if you leave it for longer than about 10 secs (whilst talking or letting it ring)the SIP trunk disconnects and you get "there is a fault" announcement from the line.

If the transfer is dealt with withing that time then everything is OK, you can retrieve the call if need be or complete the transfer and its OK, its just like there is a timer forcing the call out except for I would expect a NU tone or reorder tone from the network ratehr that he fault report being given out ?

Anyone any ideas? Trunk provider are blaming the firewall.....

Just a suggestion but perhaps it would be useful to have a continental badge or something in the details that show in your post settings on the left of the message. This would enable us to see approx where you are in the world which might help with some answers that are region specific to questions?

So a glabal UK, NA, France etc. would be readily apparent with a quick glance.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 3300ICP V8 database to MCD5 import

Can it be done directley or in any way. I have a 3300 V8 system that I have to replace (for various reasons) and it would be nice just to suck the database off the V8 and import it into MCD 5. I doubt it because of SDS issues but just thought I would ask the assembled throng....
