Title: "SDS" and "Cleared" Alarms Emails
Post by: irongladiator on July 18, 2016, 06:22:00 PM
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs,
Does anyone here know if the MCD can send out alert emails when there is an SDS alarm or when any alarm clears?

Thanks,
-Iron

Yes.
It can email you on Minor, Major and Critical alarms.
Then it will email you when cleared.
It's set up under the Alarm section in the ESM.

ralph/johnp,
Good to know, can it be fine tuned though? specifically choosing what I'm to be emailed on, and not necessarily what the system deems to be a "Major, Minor or Critical"?

Thanks.

No.  Those are the categories it emails on.
But you can do some thing...

If you set the threshold on the alarms  ("set thres <alarm cat> <minor> <Major> <Critical>") you can effectively turn off the alarms for that category.  I don't think you can adjust the thresholds for SDS errors though.
