Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Difference between 3300 and 200

I think I posted in the past that I thought that the hardware was the same in regards to CX, CXi and 3300mx. I was told that these potentially are different.

I just got a 3300 CXi for parts. I came with v9 software. I flashed back and forth between 200 and 3300 several times. My thinking is to make sure all is flashed to proper settings, as this looks like it works.

YMMV, just letting you know what I see on the bench.

For anyone who might know, my question would be does the registration go through the proxy if it is set in the peer profile? My belief would be that it doesn't and the proxy only handles media anchoring.

If anyone has an answer, that would be appreciated.

As my question isn't about any Mitel product directly, move if needed. I have been working to get the Nupoint SAA working for a current customer. From what I have found, it has many limitations and being outside nupoint has limited value.

I was hoping those that have implemented some SAA with advanced needs can recommend any product that can do something similar to what a Call Director box with voice ability could.

From what I see, the Nupoint SAA is only suited for those with simple needs. I think it is also a good choice for phonebook dialing. Without any ability to diferentiate from partial name and give a choice to match found...seems behind what could or should be implemented. Also, seems the directory gets voiced backed in whatever way it deems fit.

From search I've seen Mobius and AVST product CX-E, would like feedback from anyoe using either.

I thought I'd ask here since my understanding of nupoint isn't as good as it should be. My question is when using a schedule. what is the default action if no hours are entered? Second, is 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM considered 24 hours?

I haven't done an active directory integration yet and had a question about reassigning phones. Is is possible via AD or once created in the MAS would you need to delete the user(s) and resync?

Just saw ealier that Mike was killled in a plane crash last week. A true loss to our industry :'(

Just wondering how most handle this. I had one of my multisite customers complain about using the temporary one.

I then taught him how to ftp an alternate greeting set and had him setup scheduler to change the ports greeting set via csv import. Made sure he uploaded day and nite greeting being the same so that he wouldn't have to mess with the vm hours.

I know the temp works, but it isn't setup for multi site duplication unless someone knows how to force sites into the same mode.

Let me know how you handle it.

I was playing around with this circuit and my HT-503 and with a good clean power supply, it should provide decent performance.

The following is some info provided by carrier:

 The parameters that I advised were direct information sent to us from AT&T after multiple customers reported the same issue as yours. I recommend updating this parameter in your PBX. If this does not resolve the issue, the affected terminating user will need to engage their carrier directly to troubleshoot. From the Windstream network perspective, there is no difference in the parameters on the call. Ultimately, we can never fully guarantee caller ID to cell phones because of issues like this. I can see that the call is not being restricted, the necessary parameters are set to populate caller ID, and the calls are connecting to the terminating end. AT&T has advised us that, as advised, the parameters on the calls need to be set as follows;
 
NATURE OF ADDRESS INDICATOR needs to be set to UNIQUE NATIONAL or NATIONAL
NUMBERING PLAN INDICATOR needs to be set to ISDN
SCREENING INDICATOR needs to be set to USER PROVIDED, PASSED NETWORK SCREENING


From what I gather they are looking for a screening indicator value of 01 as opposed to 00
