Title: Need to understand FTP filepath
Post by: Apersons on May 26, 2017, 11:08:35 AM
We have a customer wanting to schedule backups to his server, We know that we have to use FTP transfer for scheduling.

When I test it out, I can get a backup to download to my ftproot folder. By leaving the path name blank in the FTP settings, the file goes automatically to C:\inetpub\ftproot

What is the correct way to tell the ftp settings that I want the file to be saved somewhere other than my ftproot folder? How do I type that in correctly?

I'm trying to use a file path of C:\Users\username\Desktop\Mitel test

I don't think you can specify path in FTP on the 3300... set the root directory of the FTP user you are using for backups on the the FTP server.

I think the root location would be controlled on the FTP server based upon login. You could then go to a lower level if created

That was the key. Had to change the file directory in the IIS FTP site.

Thanks for the info. appreciate the help.

Yes the FTP is relative to he FTP server path.

You can set paths, I have paths set as
/CustomerName so they all get their own folder

You can even set it further like /Customer/Site
