Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Out of Service ext's still active?

Hello,
Quick backstory - I am on MiVoice Business 8.0 SP1 and am working with 28 3300's across various locations.
I am trying to locate unused extensions. I ran an All IP Telephones export and filtered out the extensions that are marked both as Out of Service and have no registered IP address.
I am spot checking some of the extensions on the export, and some of extensions are active when I do a test call (they actually ring). The extensions that have a voicemail box associated to them roll into voicemail, the ones that don't have voicemail just ring. The registration status for the extensions is "unknown."
Anyone have any ideas of what I might be missing? I'm perplexed. I'd hate to start wiping out extensions if they really do exist.
