I'm looking for a way to connect Office 365 Lync Online chat with the Mitel UCA so that the UCA Console and standard UCA users can see and chat with users on Lync and vice versa.  Anyone bought the federation license for UCA/MiCollab and connected specifically with Lync Online (Office 365)?  If so, has it worked like you wanted to connect the two systems?

I know I can install the MiVoice for Lync module on Lync and control a phone but I still would like to have chat and presence work between the two systems.

Mitel Software Applications / UCA Shows Deskphone Active but Offline

I have a new user I set up on UCA that is showing the Deskphone as an active device but it really is not connecting to that device because I am also seeing an "Offline" indicator in the upper right (see attached image). When I try to make a call using UCA, I get "No more free lines available on device Desk phone (XXXX)." Same thing when I try the UCS web client.  I can't see any information from the extension.   I have tried deleting the user and adding it back in but the problem persists.

Anyone seen this before or have any suggestions on what I can do to fix it?

My system has been running for a couple of years and yesterday out of the blue, all connections over the 3300 voice mail ports to the NuPoint server will drop after about 5 seconds.  You get to listen to just enough message to tease you and then it just drops.  Can't retrieve or leave any messages.

I can see and listen to messages with UCA or using the web client just not through the phone.

These messages also started showing up in my 3300 logs about this same time for all the voice mail DNs:

"Trusted Device attempting to Register when NOT  configured with Trusted Service"
"Programmed IP device type : Superset 5240 IP Installed IP device type : IP Application"

I don't know what is going on.  Any ideas?

I did a search and saw this question asked by Ralph about a year ago but there weren't any replies.  I have the same question so I am asking again in case someone has come up with a solution:

When a user listens to voicemail, there is a header envelope with the timestamp and caller ID or name of the caller that always plays before the message.  I have a user that wants to skip through that header envelope information and just get to the message.  Does anyone know of a way to do this with a key combination on the phone while the message is playing or will it require turning that feature off for all users or putting this user in a separate fcos group?

When I run UCA outside of the network, it connects through the MBG but none of the user presence information shows up, I can't initiate Chat with other users and the window that controls phone calls doesn't come up with inbound or outbound calls just to name the major issues. 

I was running 4.2 and just upgraded to 5.0 last week to see if that helped but it still does not work.  I've tried running the client in both teleworker mode and standard without any success.  I have the UC Advanced application support enabled and I am forwarding UCA and UCM in the web proxy list.  I also have port 80 and 36008 forwarded for UC for smartphone to play voice mail messages.  This was working until about three weeks ago and I can't think of anything that may have changed.  Any ideas what I can look at in the MBG to get this working?   Maybe a port or something else I need to forward?

Hello NuPoint experts:

I have some users that want the "answer message" feature that I think is supposed to let them listen to a voice mail message and then reply or answer by leaving the caller a voice mail message.  Whenever I press 2 to try and answer a message, I only get the following: "No return address for this message, you cannot answer it."  I have bit 29 "Answer messages" checked in the fcos.  What am I missing to get this working?
