Title: Internal call transfers
Post by: Bones93 on July 11, 2014, 06:35:43 AM
Hi, I've set up some Mitel 5330s in our office on the SIP setting and run them using a VOIP service, but whenever we try to transfer inbound calls internally through our extensions nothing happens. It only works if we ring someone on an outbound call and then transfer it internally, but that isn't much use. Any ideas why this happens and how I can fix it?

Thanks.

Just to be clear, you're not using a 3300.  Is that correct?

Yeah that's correct, it's definitely a 5330. Just noticed there's a 5000 series section to post in.

No I think Ralph was asking if the 5330's were connected to a Mitel 3300 system at your premises; you don't have any system boxes you just run the phones over your internet link?.....we are assuming that you have a hosted system since you mention a VoIP service?

Ah right, no they aren't connected to a 3300 system, just wired into various Ethernet ports around the office. And we get our VoIP service through a company called Soho66.

I'm going to move this thread to the Non-Mitel board.
For this, I think you need to contact your hosting company.
There may be some different SIP settings they may have to tweek to resolve this.
