Title: Networking Question

Hi,

We are networking two 5000 sites together and there a few items I am not clear on.   

1. Trunks, each site has their own PRI, do I need unique trunk numbers?
2. Should the voice mail applications use different numbers??

Any other gotchas would be appreciated.

Every device should have a unique extension number, very easily done with only two sites. This makes troubleshooting much easier, and is required if you ever want to run traffic reports.

We have two 5000s networked together...the second site doesn't have many users that need voicemail (mostly manufacturing), so the ones that need voice mail have a mailbox on the first site's system..
