Title: Place 5330 in SIP Mode
Post by: NewMitelUser on April 16, 2008, 03:17:48 PM
We are using an SX 200 and all of our sets our currently using Minet. I have switched one set (Mitel 5330) to SIP and received dial tone, but was unable to complete a call from the set or to the set. Does something have to be configured on our controller before the set will work using SIP?

Ok, I know I'm speaking out my ignorance here (I'm almost exclusively 3300) but, I didn't think the 200ICP was SIP capable  yet.
Yes, you would have to program a SIP phone on the controller, it's not the same as a normal Mitel IP phone.  I just don't think you can do it on a 200 yet.

That would explain alot. Guess that I have some researching to do. Thanks for the response.
