Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / cannot call one number

There is a phone number that is confirmed active that we cannot call.  When we dial the number we receive a fast busy.

Is there something I can look at to see what is going on with the call?  I looked at SMDR logs and see the calls to this number, but SMDR tells me nothing.

I feel this is going to be a carrier issue, but I thought I'd ask you guys.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Voicemail on Key Appearance

We have a support line that is a key appearance on several phones.  There is no device in the Users and Device Configuration form.  In the past voicemail worked as it should.  We recently made some changes as one of our support people moved and works from home. 

I removed the key appearances and setup a ring group for this support extension to cascade through some extensions, and finally finishing up on her cell phone.  We did this until we could get the Mitel Border Gateway up and running.  I knew voicemail would not work with this configuration.

The border gateway is now working, and have reconfigured the key appearances.  All is working as it should except for voicemail.  Voicemail does not pick up for this extension.  Being there is no device in User and Device configuration form for this extension how can I set alternates to send to voicemail.

We have another extension setup in similar fashion with no voicemail issues.

Any thoughts on this?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Silent Monitor Questions

I have two questions regarding silent monitoring.

We use silent monitoring on our cluster of 3300s.  Is there any way to set restrictions, other than the accept and allow controls. 

For example: our legal dept wants the ability to silent monitor all extensions in the office.  However, we also have some team managers that have the ability to silent monitor as well.  Is there any way of restricting the team manager to only have the ability to monitor his team?

My other question is in regards to reporting.  Is there any way I can run a report to see a specific person and who they have monitored?  There has been some question of this person monitoring people that are not part of their team.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Dial Out Digit

I need to change our dial out digit on one of our 3300s in  cluster.  Currently one of our offices are using # to get an outside dial tone. 

We are looking to get them on Mitel UCA, and apparently # cannot be used in the system.

The particular office is using # because they were calling 911 on avg about 10 times a day.  We are under the impression that they cannot use 5 because of their extensions begin with 5.

What would it take to change their dial out digit, and is there any digits we cannot use.  We have extensions in the cluster that begin with 14xx, 15xx 31xx, 38xx, 400xx, 4100, 52xx, 53xx, 63xx, 65xx, 88xx.  We also have many vm ports and hunt groups for that. Not sure if we should be concerned with any of these.

We are having a strange issue with our MWI lights and voicemail. 

We receive the blinking light when a voicemail is left, we press the blinking light, but does not ring into voicemail system.  Instead it goes to the Read Message prompts as if there is a Call Me back message. 

It's happening to many if not all voicemail boxes.  People are deleting the "read message", and not listening to voicemail....becoming an issue.

Anyway of fixing this? Nothing has changed on our side.  Using Nupoint Build: 16.2.0.5.01 with ICP 3300, and 5330 IP phones.

Mitel Software Applications / UCA desktop client password...

Is there a way  to change the password for multiple users?  Second, to set it so they do not have to change the password after the first time the log in to the system.

We sync with our AD, but this only seems to create the user.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiCollab cannot make calls

We recently setup MiCollab so our employess can make phone calls through client software.

We have this setup in two locations that are working well.

Our third location cannot make calls or see active calls. 

In event viewer I see the following:
ucserver MiTaiMakeCall PBX_PROXY Warning  Wed 15 Oct 2014 12:08:11 EDT MakeCall by DN 1513 using monitor 11513 to destination 8842 failed. Reason: SXERR_MISSING_REQD_ATTRIBUTE.

Any thoughts what this error could be?  Doing a little research I cannot find anything regarding MiCollab, but I do see this error can be related to COS, but cannot be sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mitel Software Applications / UCA - MiCollab - Click to Dial

We recently installed MiCollab and UCA clients so our employees can drag/drop or copy/paste phone numbers out of our web application in Google chrome.  The sales people say they can be much more productive if they don't have to physically dial the phone.

People are now asking if we can make the phone numbers in our  Google Chrome application "clickable".  They would like to be able to click a phone number in chrome and it will dial out through the UCA client on the desktop.


Does anyone know if this is possible?  I know there would need to be some programming on our web application.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We would like to use the UCA for dialing phone numbers.  We would like to drag phone numbers out of our application and into the dial box.  We have notice that MiCollab will not intsert the "1" after the 9. 

Is there anyway of accomplishing this?

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab and Active Directory Synch

I have noticed that my install of MiCollab is not importing any new users we create in Active Directory.

We realize that MiCollab is only pulling in 1000 objects from AD and we reached the limit.

Any easy way of changing that?

I need to pull a listing of all phones with certain COS.  What would the best way to do that?  Is there a command I can run, or would you just suggest I print out the COS form?

We recently opened up a new office, and Mitel installed the latest software version.  However, all of our other offices are running older versions with Ops Manager and Enterprise manager.

We were told that 4 digit dialing would work but so far the Mitel tech cannot get it to work.  He is telling me the directory cannot be replicated.  Therefore 4 digit dialing would not work.

Any thoughts on this?

We are trying all options at this point.

Mitel Software Applications / PrairieFyre missing some data

I have a questions regarding some PrairieFyre data that is not included in reports.

We have 6 scheduled Extension Group Accounting Trace reports that run daily.  Most of these include data from our predictive dialer system, however two do not show the data.

The way the predictive dialer work...Once the employee logs into the system, the dialer will call the extension of that employee.  Once that call is picked up, the phone stays off the hook. 

The Trace Report will show the call as:

My issue....

This data show the calls on all reports except two.  How could I get this data to show on the other two reports?  I compare the reports setups and could not find any differences.

Any thoughts on this?

I was just approached by management to see if there is a way to find out  who is using silent monitoring.

I know i can view all extensions in the COS for silent monitoring, however i need to get a bit more granular.

We are looking to see if there is a way to report who is silent monitoring who, with date and times.

Is there a way to restrict who can be silent monitored.

For example...

We have 5 sales teams in an office.  The manager of a team should be able to monitor only the people on their team.

Keep in mind all our sales people are in a COS that can be monitored.
