Thanks,

So I ended up having to call our Telecom company and he told me something new that an extension can appear in another places.  He proceeded to tell me about the category Multiline Appearance Groups that shows all the locations that an extension appears.  So the extension was not deleting from the rerouting because it needed to be deleted from other devices/places first before I could put it on another controller, etc.

Thanks.  Hope this is understandable.

I'm don't see where I can delete extension from our Call Rerouting table, I've deleted the names for the person's extension but not able to delete from call rerouting, I feel like I'm missing a ste.please help.

So figured it out, this what I had to do:

Deleted voicemail for extension that was forwarded to other extension's voicemail.

On the voicemail extension that we wanted to keep went to Nupoint -
- Selected NuPoint Web Console
- Selected Mailboxes - Put extension in Search
- Once mailboxes extension came up
- Selected edit and it opened edit screen
- Selected  Advanced - went to Alternate Extension #1 field, put in extension that was deleted
- Selected Save.

Thanks.

Thanks Ralph I'll pose this issue to that forum.  Good idea.

Is it possible to have one extension’s voicemail sent to a different extension’s voicemail?  Also does both extensions have to be on same controller for this to work, how can this be programmed, is it programmed in Mitel MXe 3300 or NuPoint:
SCENARIO: You call an extension at campus B and if that line isn’t picked up by that phone the call will be picked up by campus A’s voicemail extension?

I've never done this before not sure where to start with doing a broadcast mailbox (is the broadcast mailbox to be done in both controllers or only Nupoint)?

RALPH, JOHNP, SAROND AND LUNDAH

I just wanted to let you all know the outcome with this issue.
I had to get our Mitel vendor involved, the technician built 2 extensions on 2 keys of an extension (5340 Phone) that was on the same controller as DSS/Busy Lamps. THEN went to Remote Busy Lamp form, selected appropriate extensions on top and @ bottom, Selected Add Member, when the the "Remote Host Set Directory Number" window came up I put in the extension that's on the other controller that needs to see the busy lamps for the these 2 extensions.

I kept the extension that needs to see the 2 extension's busy lamps with the DSS/Busy Lamps programming.

The technician also said we could have built a phantom extension on the controller that  those 2 extensions were on.

Hope that is clear.   Thanks so much for all of your help.

The System Administration portion of our controllers were set up by an outside contractor, but I'm going to
e-mail the guy who did the work and ask him if the Cluster Element form is setup and synced to perform the feature that will enable the DSS/Busy Lamp to work across different controllers.

I did go the Cluster Elements forms - both of the Controllers have the Cluster Member built the same, they're identical.

Sarond,

Screen shot 2 is from Controller B, that extension 538 & 552 are programmed on; from what I understand shouldn't be on this controller.  Controller A (see another attached screen shot) has these two extensions programmed on them because this is the controller that holds 228 and need the DSS/Busy Lamp to come on for two extensions.  Hoep that's clearer.  Thanks.

Thanks guy,

I have attached what I've done.

Screen shot 1 is from Controller A (ext. 228) with ext. 552 & 538 from Controller B, DSS/Lamps keys are programmed.

Screen shot 2 is from Controller B - that ext 552 & 538 are on with 228 added to the Remote Busy Lamp.

Screen shot 3 has ext. 228 programmed on (Controller B) ext. 552's key as DSS/Busy Lamp.
Ext. 538's key is programmed same, I didn't attach.

Tested it with user at ext. 228, light still didn't come on for either extensions.

Hope this explains clearly.  Thank you.

Thanks.

Went to other Controller and the only place I see "Remote Busy Lamps" in under User and Devices - Group Programming, when I click Add, it bring up another screen - indicating I need to add records, I've tried so many things nothings working.  Is there some where else I should be looking for the Remote Busy Lamp form?

Fyi. - I forgot to list that I'm trying to do this on a 5340 IP Phone.

Thanks.

Thanks, well at least it sounds like it may be possible.

I did look at Mitel Help previous to posting this, but didn't find anything, I'll look again.

We have MXE 3300 controllers.  I have a user on one controller that wants a key built into her phone (dss/lamp) so that she can see when people are on the phone.  I am able to do this with extensions built into the same controller she's on but when I program this same key on her phone for an extension on another controller it doesn't work.  Any suggestions how I can make this work?
