Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Mitel 6920 - Teleworker setup
« on: February 16, 2021, 10:53:04 AM »
It may be the firmware see

https://mitel.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1010319/1378803773

Cause
69xx sets are preloaded from the factory running 1.3.1.37.
This allows Mitel sets to connect to cloud services without the appropriate DHCP options ie option 125, RCS programming or MDNS.

69xx phones will boot up presenting the Voice Services screen

In order to boot up to this point the phone still requires it's own IP, whether it's using DHCP or hardcoding an IP Address.
Resolution
In order to toggle between the 2 Voice Service Screens
Phone first will appear with the following screen:
Initial screen

Press the "up" direction on the navigation cluster or
Use the touch screen on the 6940 and Press Service Type

Now press the right arrow softkey which toggles the screen to the MiVoice Border Gateway Screen

Press the "down" direction on the navigation cluster will allow you to enter the IP of the MiVoice Border Gateway Server or
Touch the IP address box on the 6940 and enter the IP of the MiVoice Border Gateway

Press save and restart the phone.

Additional Notes
Additional Notes
Note once the phone connects to the TFTP server of the Controller/Mivoice Border Gateway it will download whatever firmware is installed.

Refer to the appropriate Installation guide to set up appropriate options (DHCP/MDNS) for phones connecting to On Premise Controllers.

Thank you.

I will upgrade via the blades panel in the MSL server.

Interesting that there seems to be two potential upgrades, one for the MiVb upgrade to SP3 and another for the EX specific software ?

I am ok with the upgrade for MiVb but not sure which to select for the EX specific software

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / EX root security certificate
« on: July 22, 2020, 06:15:04 AM »
Hi

Can anyone please confirm. Does the EX need the new Mitel root certificate. The EX is currently on MiVb 9.0 SP 2

The Mitel document does not show the EX in the list of controllers that need the new cert.

Thanks

Could it be your system is in night service and routing the calls to these 5 extensions rather than the AA ?

If you wanted a ALL incoming calls from one to the other could you not use the trunk attributes form and point day , night1 and night 2 to a target on the other ?

You are correct. Found that MB 2335 had been compromised and personal contacts were used. The passcode for the offending MB was 2335 !!!

This system has been administered by the company’s IT dept and was wide open. EVM COR had access to all ARS routes and the COS was also allowing access to the PSTN and public network to public network access was enabled.

We have since locked it down and changed VM passcodes to 6 digits. They are now discouraging users from using personal contacts and for those who insist speed calls to override toll control will be used

Hi all

We may have an issue with calls made to Ethiopia. Embedded VM did have access to PSTN and COR was not applied. The system has been administered by the company IT dept. I have since locked down all VM ports so now there is no access to PSTN what so ever via the VM ports

Can anyone who is better versed at reading SMDR please advise.

4400 is menu mode with the following options associated

1 4410
2 4440
3 4450
4 2301

VM options was set to not allow digit 9

If these calls are coming in via embedded voice mail ports have a look at the class of service of these and set the call recall timer so that it is greater than the call forward timer on your other extensions.

Mitel have actually now told me that they can not reset the username / passwords ??? Initially they came back with a charge of £150 followed by call from Mitel TSN to apologise and tell me they cant do it anymore and  to default and restore data ???

I am now confused

I have tried

system / sx2000

installer / sx2000

Maint1 / sx2000

Maint2 / sx2000

1nstaller / sx2000 and so on but no joy.

Hi

Been a while since I worked on one of these but we have been asked to make some programming changes but have no idea what the username and passwords are. I have tried all of the defaults system , installer , Maint 1 and Maint 2 but no joy.

I am pretty sure that there is no other way to deal with this other than to try and get a data backup default the system to gain access to CDE and restore the data. I assume that the usernames and passwords will not be restored but not sure.

I am going to trawl through documentation to remind me how to take a backup and restore and cross my fingers !!

Any pitfalls to doing this or any suggestions to reset passwords ?

Thanks

Perhaps run the system in night mode,

program a night bell extension and multicall the night bell extension.

I think you can still answer on the console under there conditions

Or if I understand correctly try this

Enabling the following options in the COS of the VM ports:
Display ANI/ISDN Calling Number Only
Display ANI/DNIS/ISDN Calling/Called Number
Display Caller ID on Multicall/Keylines

13
Just to add to this. If the customer requires a 24 hour time format. System options form Set system option Multiline Set Display 24 Hour Format to yes

My apologies. I should have read your original post more thoroughly. You have Nupoint and my suggestions relate to embedded voice mail on the 3300 so please disregard previous info
