Mitel Software Applications / YourSite Explorer: Employee Sync
« on: July 16, 2020, 04:24:48 PM »
We have Mitel Call Accounting (CCMWeb) that was setup by a 3rd party.
When I go into YourSite Explorer, Employee, I see people who no longer at our company.
AD Sync was not configured, it was just some import to the local system.

The 3300 and MiCollab systems have the correct information.

Is there a way to automatically sync or update the records in YourSite Explorer?
If not is there a manual process of exporting/importing records/spreadsheet?
Or another method, other than going through each recording and updating?

Thanks...

If you have another 7000, login to it and copy the info, then use that to help setup the this phone.  If not you can try the following:

Get IP Address: on 7000: Menu > 2 > 2 > 1
Login to web interface: http:\\ip_address
Web: login as admin enter password (default 456)
Web: Simple Setup: SIP Server: enter IP address of server port 5060  SIP Outbound Proxy: use same info
Web: SIP Line Identification:  Enter Display Name, Address (something like ext@ip_server Ex: 1234@192.168.1.10), Authentication User ID, Authentication Password, Label

You may also have to update the Digimap: This may help: https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/FAQ-Unable-to-Dial-number-if-Off-Hook-or-on-2nd-Call-in-a/td-p/4233

If phone is really messed up you may have to reset to factory defaults and try again:
Factory Reset on Phone: Menu > 3 > 2 > Enter Password > 1 > 5 > 5 > Yes (Phone reboots)

You can also search the polycom site for more information.

Good Luck with everything

I have experienced the same thing in the past few days, though I'm not sure what the cause is.

MiCollab Client: Server Version: 8.1.1.13, Client Version: 9.1.312 (build: 264)

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5360 Cordless: Battery/Connection Issue
« on: September 03, 2019, 09:16:42 AM »
Our CEO has a 5360 with a cordless handset. The phone is 3-4 years old. The 5360 is displaying a low battery warning and to charge the handset, however looking in Settings it shows a full battery with the handset.  I know at times the handset may not connect/seat 100% but usually just taking it out and putting it back in resolves this issue.  The phone and handset seem to work OK, it's just the warning that seems to be a problem at this point.    Any troubleshooting ideas or things to look at?  Thanks

Mitel 3300 (44.0.1.26) at Main site > Checkpoint VPN to Remote site > Mitel 5320e & Polycom IP 7000 phones

Remote site calls TO Main site (5320e), one way calling (I think remote site can't hear).  If Remote site hangs up and calls right back the call works properly.  If a 2nd caller from Remote site calls to Main site it works properly on first call.  After a period of time of working the one way issue will start again.
The Polycom (SIP) phones work properly all the time even when the Mitel phones don't, so this seems to be a Mitel issue.

It seems as if the Firewall/VPN may be blocking some Mitel port/protocol initially but once it's initialized it allows calls through for a period of time until it gets reset???

Does anyone have any ideas or even some general troubleshooting steps to try?

Thanks

Mitel Software Applications / Re: MiCollab for PC / Windows Desktop clients
« on: November 20, 2017, 08:44:50 AM »
Thanks for the info.

By going to MiCollab Client Deployment > Configuration tab > Deployment Email and adding the PC-Client tag [####winpc####] I was able to install the new 8.x client, instead of the default 7.x desktop client.

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab for PC / Windows Desktop clients
« on: November 17, 2017, 11:56:57 AM »
What is the difference between the MiCollab for PC 8.0.17 client and the MiCollab Client for Windows Desktop 7.3.0.235?

Is the MiCollab for PC a new client that can run on Windows that is similar to the mobile client or is it something else?

If it's the new client, how do you install it?  Where (what path/url) do you get it from.

I see both are under Client Versions in the MiCollab Client Service Administration page.

Mitel Software Applications / 5360 Calendar Integration on Display
« on: May 03, 2017, 09:32:57 AM »
Our CEO was wondering if it is possible to have Outlook Calendar Integration on a 5360, specifically he wants to show his next meeting on his phone display.
We have a 3300, MiCollab 7.0, 5360 phone, Exchange 2010 (though we plan to upgrade to Exchange 2016).

If this is not possible with our current setup, would it be possible with any upgrades, new phones, etc.?

Thanks...

Hi John,

Could you tell me the menu path to get to these settings?

Thanks,
Craig

Thank you for the info.  Let me clarify the issue.  I have attached a screenshot.  The AD accounts show up properly when the domain is expanded under the Corporate Directory.  We also have some accounts that were only created in MiCollab without any connection to an AD object.  These show up at the top level of the Corporate Directory and I'd like to be able to hide them from view.  I have tried selecting Privacy in the 3300 Phone Directory and even deleting the entry in the 3300 Phone Directory however they still show up.  I think if I create an AD account and associate with the non-person phone, I may be able to hide it, though I'd prefer not to do it that way.

Thanks...

We have AD Integration which syncs OK and accounts show up in the MiCollab Client, Corporate Directory > ADdomainname.com.  We have added some non-specific user phones (such as a guest reception phone) that do not have an associated AD account, they are just defined in Mitel.  These accounts show up as contacts at the top of the Contact list in the MiCollab client.  Is there anyway to hide them?  I have checked the Privacy box in the directory (which seems to work for AD defined phones) but not for these.

Corporate Directory
> ADdomainname.com
Guest Reception

Thanks...
