To be honest this was one of the forms that we did not Share when we built the cluster, we are currently running 6.0 SP3. Is there a limitation on the on how many speed call records there can be?

Good Evening,

I have my primary controller that has 2 dual t1/e1 framers servicing 3 PRI, this controller is expanded and is a part of 19 member cluster. I just purchased a secondary expanded controller for this site for HA and Resilience.

My plan is to take 1 on pri from the first module on the primary controller and move it to the secondary controller, On the primary controller I will have 50 sets configured as with the secondary controller as their failover.

Currently all of my speed dials are set to s/c, I am unable to duplicate the speed dials from the primary controller to the secondary, this is vital as from the CO all 69 channels are have the DID's configured on them in the event of PRI Failure as well I am doing FoIP.

Can someone help me with the configuration required on the secondary controller.

Sorry this is the end of the day and may head hurts  so hopefully this makes sense.

Good Morning,

I am having issues with setting up the RAD on one of my controllers.

Currently the DID is pointed to our NuPoint it plays the message and the does a blind transfer to the Hunt Group, the voice hunt group has a RAD COS programmed on it. I am trying to have two members in the hunt group, these are both key system numbers  on 2 reception phone. What is happening is the first two call coming in fine, NuPoint picks up and the  message is played and call is transferred to the hunt group and answered, when the third call comes into the system the message is played and when it transfers the call the caller hears the line is busy and it hangs up.

I call the RAD Huntgroup number and the message plays fine. I have removed one of the members to have a single member in the  voice hunt group and I still get busy.

What am I doing wrong?

Good Evening,

I have a big issues that I am trying to resolve, I need to Re-IP our DLM, everything on the change went good until an hour later I started getting license violation errors. looking at the logs I can see the following:

dlmcommandprotocol processmessage denied access

I have contacted mitel support and they are looking into this, my DLM has contacted the AMC correctly just all my cluster nodes cannot access the DLM controller.

Any suggestions?

Can someone please verify my process to complete this with minimal impact:

1. Update NuPoint subnet list to include 172.17.18.0 255.255.254.0 router 172.17.4.40

2.Create new DHCP Scope on the BUH Mitel Controller:
DHCP Subnet
172_17_18_subnet
ip address 172.17.18.0
bit mask 255.255.254.0

DHCP IP Address Range
172_17_18_range
Start 172.17.18.50
End 172.17.19.254
Subnet 172_17_18_subnet(172.17.18.0)

3 Router 172.17.18.1 scope global
3 Router 10.11.59.129 scope subnet: 10_11_59_subnet (offsite with a dhcp helper)
125 id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=172.17.18.40;call_srv=172.17.18.40;dscp=46v46s26

3.Adjust the BUH Mitel System IP Settings

System IP: 172.17.18.40
Subnet 255.255.254.0
Gateway: 172.17.18.1
Layer2 Switch: 172.17.18.41
E2T Card: 172.17.18.45

4. During reboot process log into all other controllers to update the IP/XNET Networking for BUH 200 from 172.17.17.40 to 172.17.18.40

Log into Nupoint, on the main Nupoint Configuration page:
-Go into the NuPoint Webconsole
-edit offline configuration *say yes to copy of active to offline*
-click network elements
-click on BUH200
-change IP Address to 172.17.18.40
-save
-commit changes and exit
- click on activate offline configuration

Verify network elements automatically updates to the new IP Address

Start with controllers in Battleford, then Lloyd Hospital, then Maidstone/Turtleford then remaining controllers to limit impact to NuPoint

I should have just used the actual ip settings sorry for the confusion,,, this is for the mitel 3300, current ip is 172.17.17.0/24 I cannot adjust this to a /23 as it falls to 172.17.16.0/23 which 172.17.16.0 is our dmz.

so next option is 172.17.18.0/23,, I am working on the maintenance window to see about the 20 minute outage for the reboot to to move my controller into 172.17.18.0/23 and create the new DHCP Scope options.. I will update NuPoint to see the new subnet 172.17.18.0 255.255.254.0 then all my other nodes IPXnet to the new system ip.. is this correct? is there anything that I need to worry about the Network Elements or with SDS?

I need a little help redoing my DHCP Options as the current scope as run out address and still need to deploy an additional phones. I cannot just expand the subnet from 24 bit to 23 bit as it does not fall into the correct range for out network. Our current setup 10.11.11.0/24 if we go to a 23 bit that scheme would be 10.11.12.0, 10.11.13.0/23.

System IP Settings are:

10.11.11.40
255.255.255.0
10.11.11.1
Layer2 10.11.11.41
E2T 10.11.11.45/255.255.255.0

DHCP Options are:

3 Router 10.11.11.1 scope global
3 Router 10.11.59.129 scope subnet: 10_11_59_subnet (offsite with a dhcp helper)
125 id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=10.11.11.40;call_srv=10.11.11.40;dscp=46v46s26
128 tftp server 10.11.11.40
129 Call Server 10.11.11.40

This controller is part of 16 node cluster and is currently running on version 6.0 SP3.

My plan would be to leave the controller as 10.11.11.40 so I do not have any downtime, this is for a 24/7 healthcare facility. I would just create the following new:

DHCP Subnet
10_11_12_subnet
ip address 10.11.12.0
bit mask 255.255.254.0

DHCP IP Address Range
10_11_12_range
Start 10.11.12.50
End 10.11.13.254
Subnet 10_11_12_subnet(10.11.12.0)

What are your thoughts or how would you approach this?

Good Day,

Previously one of our administrators add the controller to Admin Group 1 to get it joined to the cluster, at that time we were having problems with it joining correctly to Admin Group 2 and sharing the forms. The two admin groups were setup for Date & Time. I am a couple days out from the time zone and I need to move this controller from Group 1 to 2 so when the time changes it will not be out 1 hour.

Is there any issues? or can I just go into the Admin Groups under the Voice Network select the member, click move member and choose Group 2?

Overhead paging is definitely what I would be looking for but something that is cost effective and easy to setup, possible separate zones different types of tie in. These would be for healthcare facilities so that ability to page from the phones would be ideal.

Good Morning,

We have been leasing space for numerous years in one of my facilities that have have over 160 mitel phones, in one of my clinic areas we put in the Cyberdata Paging Server V3 with the IP Ceiling Speakers. We have finally purchased the facility and its current tennants throughout the building.

I am wondering is there anyway using the Cyberdata Paging Server that it can broadcast a page over the Mitel 5330 phones speakers. To meet code quickly I have created 3 page groups but that only works for my users not our tennants that are responsible for their own dial tone.

Besides Cyberdata what other solutions some of you have been using, I will be putting this forward next year for the remaining 34 facilities that I have but I need to be very cost effective as some of thes e are very large and 100 years old :)

Good Day,

I am just looking for information, issues or gotcha's from people that have upgraded from 5.0 to 6.0. We are planning on upgrading our DLM this weekend from 5.0 to 6.0 which will put our cluster in a mixed software version of 6.0 and 5.0.

We have 4 Polycom 8440 phones programmed a Generic SIP Devices. We have 2 Analog lines from a Nurse Call System connected to the LS ports on the back of the 3300. We were previously on version 5.0. When a call bell from the nurse call was pressed, the nurse call would initiated the call to the LS trunks with the trunk attributes pointed to a Ring Group. The Nurse call sends the CID information  of the Room.. this was working perfectly.

We just switched the 3300 MXe II with MXe III on 6.0 SP3, everything is working except now the when the call bell is coming across the Polycom phones it shows the Ring Group DN not the CID, we also of 5330 in this ring group which are displaying the room information correctly.

What am I missing now that might have broken the CID coming across?

I wish it was that simple my entire fleet is 5330's, 5340's, 5324's and 5360's..

Could it be something that on the COS that I maybe missing?
