thanks for advice.
To explain more.
The site is a large hotel in New Zealand with a Mitel MXEIII MCD 5, Recently we changed over to SIP trunks via virtual MBG.
The Front office manager uses an application of Dynamic extension and the problem was that when a caller had their CLI blocked the SIP provider would send the call in with Anonymous in the header where you would expect to see the number, the problem then was that when the call progressed through the Mitel to call his cell phone the word Anonymous was being sent and not accepted by the network provider so the call was rejected.
To overcome this we made an entry in the URI/ Translation to change anonymous to be the Pilot No.

Dave

Hi Ralph.
We had a problem where the incoming party had CLI Blocked and the SIP provider supplied "Anonymous"that was OK if answered by the extension, but if in our case the call was to a EHDU the SIP provider would drop the call because of the label Anonymous.
To overcome this we changed this in the URI/No transaltion form, now works.

Hi, for your info we have found that in the URI/No transaltion form, we added a entry that translated the Anonymous to be the Pilot No.
Our example   URI<sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid>  User No XXXXXXXXX
That fixed our problem, thanks for your help.

Hi, yes can make an internal call, and external call if the external party is presenting CLI, if there is no CLI the network provider sends " Anonymous" that is then transisted through the Mitel then rejected by the Network SIP Provider.
Is there anyway that we can change the " Anonymos" to show the EHDU extn No or the Pilot No.
The Mitel MXE is working behind a MBG, if that helps.
Thanks for your advice.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Incoming SIP to Dynamic extn

Hello.
Mitel MCD 5, incoming call with CLI Blocked, via SIP Trunk going to extn OK, But when calling a Dynamic extension user the call fails.
Not sure if its the network provider that could be stopping the call because of no CLI.
any ideas.

Hi, Can some one help?
MXE II, MCD 5.0 SP 1. PR1, SIP Trunk License, also have MBG Virtual with SIP Proxy, but this has been removed from the application until we can sort the problems out.
We are trying to install SIP Trunks for a customer in New Zealand using Telstra NZ, but are having problems with no audio.
At present we are using our test lap system to set this up.
Now to explain fuller, Incoming calls OK, transfer OK, Conference OK,  Outgoing call from a 5212 & 5312 no audio, Outgoing call from a 5320 OK.
Also to confuse, sometimes after an incoming call to a 5212(successful) you can then call out from that 5212 ( successful).
Is there a problem (programmable option) associated with the 5212 &5312? with SIP Trunks.
Because Telstra NZ's SIP Trunks have not been certified by Mitel ( who want us to do the certification) Mitel will only help if we pay.
Any help, ideas?

Dave

Mitel Software Applications / MAS Upgrade
« on: August 06, 2013, 10:19:05 PM »
Hello.
Can someone in the wide world help, I need to upgrade 2 x MXE II Controllers to MCD 5, but the associated MAS Box is on V2.
I would like to upgrade MAS to virtual V3, make sence sofar?
My question is can you transfer the licenses from the base to the virtual, but keep the base application going (short term)in case we have to go back.
From Sales build there are variuos parts listed and it appears I will need to go to V3 Base (54005447) then (54005389) to virtual.
Is this correct?

Thanks Guys we will try the maitenance commands as given.
Regarding your remark about the redial key/button on an analogue phone, I have been involved with PABX Systems for approx 50 years and to my knowledge there has always been a redial button on analogue phones that we have installed on business systems here in NZ, may not apply in other countries.
