MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Mitel UC360 on MiVoice Office 250

Is the UC360 licensed up to alow video?

When you buy these conference phones there are two different types, Voice only and Voice / Video, there are different part numbers but I believe the only difference is a license applied to the actual phone.

250 and Applications Suite, Virtualised on one machine, please and thank you.

Oh, and 6900 to work remotely as easy as 5300 series.

NTEDave,

Phone Manager now gives the MiVO-250 path unavailable options so that isn't a true statement anymore if they have one or if they want to buy one.

If they really want this feature they can spend the $$ to get it.

Thanks,

TE

Thanks TE, I did actually have a reply typed out that said you could do it with Intelligent Router but whenever you mention spending more money to a customer it's normally a non starter!

The main problem you are going to have with this is calls will not bounce to the next location based on status IE all in DND or Busy.

They will only go once the Recall Timer has expired.

A compromise will have to be met with this one I think.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/plan-your-deployment/enterprise-voice-solution/direct-sip

Had a quick look at this and it seems you can log a Skype for Business server on to an IPPBX as a SIP Extn, so you would need X number of CAT F SIP Extn licenses for the 250 and as long as the Conference Bridge is dialable on the S4B server you should be able to dial in.

Lots of shoulds and possiblies involved, you would need to speak to your Microsoft people and see what they say.

It would be brilliant if I was proven wrong, but I don't think downgrades can be done anymore.

MiCollab has a Skype for Business Plug in, I think you are actively discouraged from doing MiCollab on 250 now.

They want you to do Mitel Phone Manager, which doesn't do S4B integration.

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Phone Manger failed to connect

Looks like it.

Do you ever get the chance to click settings so you can get into the normal settings and options menu?

It would be good if you could get in and turn logging on, that would probably tell you straight away whats wrong.

You are probably going to have to use Phantoms to achieve this.

New phantom extn with corresponding user set up for mobile twinning etc.

You could then add this into the correct business group.

Very odd but on a couple of clients I have had the software try and use the Remote IP first.

So if you enter the local IP address of the server into the Remote IP fields it connects, re-configures the IPs itself correctly then works!

How are you trying to set the call forward, just done it on one here and I pressed.

Cog button for settings
Press Call Forward
Enter a destination for the Call Forward type then put a tick in the box to turn it on
Then pressed save

Works fine for me.

Cheers.

Headsets and Cordless handsets are end of line in the UK. I quite liked them!

We have changed to Plantronics CS540 with lifter, much less elegant solution and it's a bit of a ball ache having to find spare power outlets next to every desk.

Strange that the stock has ran out just as they make the 6900 Series Cordless Headsets work with the 250 :)

You could put an unused analog extn port in there so you don't get busy tone.

Downsides are what DND said.

There isn't a free way of doing this bar sitting and watching the Calls witihn System Admin and Diagnostics.

There is a report that does exactly what you want within CSM which is an (expensive) software add on called Line Usage by Half Hour and Day.

I have done MS Dynamics integration using Xarios / Mitel Phone Manager, it just worked straight away which I was very surprised about.

Fairly sure it was the Dynamics 365 version, all the end user had was a browser that the CRM ran in.
