I know I can't do exactly what the Subject line says, A caller can only connect to one called line. So here's the theory. Given that it's a cell phone, if the voicemail was disabled. Could you call one number and if no answer after timeout, call the 2nd number. Kinda like a phone tree dialer.

Anything remotely like I'm thinking ?

So our Help Desk extension 6500 is a multiline that appears on 10 phones. It is not a prime extension.
I have a B1 line going to a key system I use for testing. So only I should be calling this B1 line. Now my B1 line rings and I answer it, wondering who is calling my test line and it's a staff member saying they called the Help Desk 6500 ?

So I've checked Call Routing of 6500, rings the ext and voicemail only. No other options in the Voicemail set. Checked call forwarding profile for every extension that 6500 appears at, nothing set. Checked Speed Dials, Ring Groups, Hunt Groups, Multi Level Auto Attendants - 6500 does not appear. Checked my phone carrier to see if 6500 has any hunting, they say nothing shows there.

I can't reproduce, but I think it depends on how many extensions have the line busy before it ends up calling my B1.

Any clues where I might look next ?   Thanks !

Yes, I checked all COSs, all have SMDR Ext & Int enabled.

I tried the Reso command on my phone to test the feature. I called my ext from my neighbors phone, did Resource 6 1 2 10 and result shown below. Tried this with the call ringing at my phone and after I answered it. Also didn't work if I called my neighbor.

Incomplete command input, no circuit number specified - RESOURCES Aborted       
Circuit not owned by an active Call Process - RESOURCES Aborted

How would I flag it, nothing shows in SMDR ?

So I've worked on tracking this, with no results. I have 500 - 4025 phones in the hospital. Once or twice a month, i get called about a phone ringing, shows FX analog in the display, pick up the handset, it's busy tone. This can go on for a couple hours before it stops. I've verified the phone prime number receiving the call is an internal number, not a DID call from the outside. So it's happening from within our system. We of course have like 50 fax units, some on Mitel analog extensions. If it really is a fax, why when you pick up the handset, you should get fax tones instead of the busy signal. Also, I checked SMDR and nothing shows for calls going to that extension, except a verified call from another phone.

Any clues for where I might look to track this would be greatly appreciated.

So the battle is on..........

I've programmed 2 analog trunks, I'm connecting to a Valcom IP 6000 controller.

My access code to hit the trunks is *4, then 3 more digits for the page zone. Now he's sending me dial tone after the *4. The issue is, if you don't dial the "3 more digits" quick enough, the paging system doesn't activate. Like, they gotta be 3 seconds after the *4. They phone shows "Overhead Page" in the display, so the trunk is open. I don't think the Valcom has enough capture time for the 3 digits, but the guy programming it says, I'm not sending to him after 3 seconds ? I don't have a way to capture what I'm sending him and listening with a butt set doesn't help work.

Anyone had any insight on something like this ?

I can't think of a reason why you have to clear any keys to swap out a phone. If it's a digital phone, put the new phone in place and all the keys remain the same. If it's an IP phone, register the new phone and it will pick up all the same info as the old phone.

So I put the Bria app (3.2.1.77073) on my android phone. When I did that a couple months ago it seemed to work fine. Now, If I make a call to a Mitel extension, I get one way audio (Cell to Mitel) and when I end the call, the Mitel reboots ? I didn't make the connection, but it happened a couple weeks ago and when it happened today, I realized the system went down right after my call. I don't use the app that often and I don't want to keep taking down the system just for me to test.

Any ideas on settings of some type, cos or ? that could be the reason.   Thanks !

Too much thinking on my part. I put the DID number in the system as a phantom to play with the routing options. So when I tried using Speed Dial, it didn't work.

Took the phantom out and the speed dial works perfect.

So I'm linked to a SIP system. My ARS takes any 5xxx extension you dial and sends it over no problem.

On my Mitel I have the DID's. If I want to use an existing DID and send the call to a SIP extension.
I have to Call Route the DID to a 7xxx number, Sys Spd Dial 7xxx to 5xxx SIP extension. Kind of a pain and limited call routes to do this with.

Any suggestions on another way for me to transfer these ?

Thank you august.

DGT Trace: helped me track down a hunt group 55, which had no members. So I deleted that. Also it showed me an ARS I just set up for the system I was linking to using #5. I also removed this temporarily and my Locate All Free DN verified for me that all the 1000 numbers in the range are not in use. Perfect.

FYI,  Locate number shows:  The Number is not in use.
Both State Extension & Locate Extension show: Invalid or nonexistent extension number or id number

Of the extensions allocated on this hospital system, I know what most of them are. 3000s patient rooms, 6000s DIDs, 7000s hunt groups.

But if I do LOCATE ALL FREE DN 5000 TO 5999, I get:

LOCATE: Warning! file *.LOCATE.FREE_DN will  be overwritten.                   
5500 -  5599                                                                   
The free DNs within the given range can be found in *.LOCATE.FREE_DN.   

What happened to 5000 > 5499 and 5600 > 5999 ?

If I do STATE EXTENSION 5234 (or any Not Free extension)  I get:  Locate: Invalid or nonexistent extension number or id number.   So the extension is not in use ?

I'm confused ?
