backing up database
« on: April 19, 2017, 12:43:07 PM »
Hi,

I'm in the process of backing up Mitel sx200 system data for few remote sites, everything goes well on site where I have a dial-up connection using procomm but I use putty to connect to some other sites where it gives me error every time I try to run the backup, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if backing up using putty is not possible. Please advice.

Kermit doesn't work over telnet (it should, but it doesn't)

You need to use FTP backup to backup IP systems remotely (actually, I just have a FTP server on my laptop, I use it locally as well because it is 100 times quicker).

I create an account named sx200 with a password of your chosing, then in form 47 - System IP sub-form enter the FTP credentials. When you preform a backup, select Medium FTP and name the file appropriate to the location.
