Call distribution
« on: April 25, 2017, 02:08:45 PM »
I have two PRIs at two different buildings.  The two PRIs have 5000 minutes of calling each month.  I need to balance out the calls so I make as much use of the 5000 minutes on each PRI.  I am thinking that I create a trunk group that alternates between the two PRIs trunks set for circular.  i.e. 1, 24, 2, 25, 3, 26, 4, 27....

Thoughts on this?  Will it work the way I am thinking it will?

Thank you,

Mark

Yes.  That's the way to do it.

Do both of these PRI's feed into the same controller? If so, then your method will work perfectly... Although I would do it in reverse (descending) and in terminal hunt (46,23,45,22,44,21, etc) assuming calls come in ascending search order and you would want to make sure your carrier sends calls in the order of 1,24,2,25,3,26, etc.

If you are talking about 2 different controllers, that's a whole different ball game...

Yes, both PRIs feed into the same controller.  We have the NSU sitting in another building to take in the second PRI.  I will check on the search order.

Thank you.
