Outbound Caller ID Name

I am trying to set the outbound caller id name = company name.
i called the carrier to have it changed and they told me that i can just change it on our system and that we would over ride them 
i am trying find where that name is programmed.

What kind of trunks? If SIP this might be possible... If it is PRI you cannot send name, but you can send number, and if it is loop start trunks you can't send either one.

It is a PRI.  i will contact the Carrier and have them set the Caller ID thanks for the INFO

It is a PRI.  i will contact the Carrier and have them set the Caller ID thanks for the INFO
So in a PRI you are in control of the number sent on calls, your carrier will add a name to the CID database based on the number you send. If you are sending individual DID's for extensions, this can number quite a bit and your carrier may charge you for this service.
