system 3300. Are phones keep getting ahead of our pc's even though we use NTP and I have it pointed to our primary NTP server. Any ideas as to how this happens are what to adjust?

Thanks,

How far ahead are you talking about?  1 minute?  30?
I think Mitel's position on the time display on the phone is that it's more of a suggestion.

We have the same issue, it seems to stay in sync for a couple of days and slowly drift out.

Mitel's position on the time display is more of a suggestion...surely not!!! ;)

I was once quoted 'it is a representation of the time, not the actual time'

That's the quote I was looking for!

The line I got was that it is not sold as an accurate time piece, different phones update the time in different ways so it also depends on your handset

The time on the ip phone is a representation of the time.

In the maintenance command of the 3300, you can type readdatetime and it will show you the real time of your 3300.  It should be the same as your NTP server.  This time is use for the SMDR and real time reporting.

On the IP Phone, it's not a priority for him to synchronise his time with the 3300.

So you can have different time on two phone.
