Twinning caller ID
« on: April 11, 2018, 05:43:38 PM »
Hopefully this is a quick thing to do, assuming it is possible.

I've got mobile twinning set up for my staff, and it works well. But there's one thing I would like to do if possible.

When a call twins/rings on someone's mobile, is it possible for me to specify in the programming what outbound caller-ID is used? Right now, it just uses our main number, so to the end user, it appears any call is coming from XXX-XXX-6397, our main number. So there's no way to know before answering it if the call is someone from the office dialing directly to someone's mobile, or an internal extension-to-extension call being twinned to the mobile, or an outside call being twinned to someone's desk and their mobile.

I have a handful of DID numbers I could pick from, which would be fine. At least that way people could tell on their mobile if a call was a twinned call.

Unfortunately no... the only option is to pass through the caller ID of the original caller if it is supported by your carrier, or send your default number.

Darn, OK, thank you. Good to know.
