program Cetis SIP Phones on a Mitel 3300.
« on: September 30, 2016, 11:32:19 PM »
Hi Mitel Friends
I need to program Cetis SIP Phones on a Mitel 3300.
Can someone guide me through how to program these type of sip phones on Mitel 3300.
These Cetis phones are hotel room phones.
What I already did was programming a sip device capabilities, but was wondering if I need to use generic sip phones at device type when programming its User and Services Configuration ?

Please advise

Hello, we configured Cetis phones recently and used Device Type = Generic SIP Phone and it worked fine. Do you have any specific issues with the configuration?

You need to both set up a SIP Device Capabilities profile to tell the system which SIP features the endpoint is capable of, and also assign the set as a "Generic SIP Device" in User and Device Configuration so that you can apply the SIP Device Capability profile to the set.

lundah is right. We also set the following option in SIP Device Capabilities fro the Cetis phones:

Prevent the Use of IP Address 0.0.0.0 in SDP Messages      Yes

Did you change any other option?
