Need someone to confirm a potential bug
« on: October 26, 2016, 11:29:52 AM »
Found a potential issue in MiVB 7.2 SP1 PR1, I've managed to replicate it at 2 completely different customers, looking for someone else to confirm. If I have a speed call to an external number, and the line for that speed call is set to override toll control, dialing the speed call from a restricted SIP set is still blocked by COR. Works fine for MiNET sets. I've got a ticket open with Mitel tech support, still waiting for them to confirm it.

So, for example, I have SIP set on x2599, and a 5330e on x2598, both with a COR of 1, which is restricted to only internal and 911. I program a speed call (say 2999) to an external number (say 613-592-2122), set "overrides toll control" for "Yes". If I dial 2999 from the 5330e, the call goes out. If I call it from the SIP station, I get reorder tone, and if I look at the SIP messaging, I get a 401 - Forbidden.

We have the same release installed 7.2 SP1 PR1 (13.2.1.27) installed, but unfortunatelly I was not able to replicate the bug. I used 2 phones (one Mitel 5320e and the other Linksys SPA942), I both set the COR to 1 which allows only internal call and 0800xxxxx external calls. Dialed then my mobile number and got ACCESS DENIED error message on the 5320e and Forbidden 403 (not the 401)  on the Linksys phone. The I dialed a system speed call (*412, Overrides Toll Control set to YES) that points to my same mobile number, on both phones the call went thru.

What kind of trunks are you using? Both of the sites I can duplicate the issue on are using ISDN PRI's.

Per the MiVB 8 release notes, this is a known bug under DPAR MN00607266, allegedly fixed in MiVB 8. I'll have to test that once I get my lab upgraded.
