3300 MXE III MiVoice
« on: September 15, 2016, 11:05:01 PM »
Hello there,

I was using Mitel Streamline attached to 3300 MXE III (MiVoice) for IP phones. The problem I have is that the IP phone is resetting, but not simultaneously. I looked at it in Maintenance logs and it said "Device move detection The IP device, DN 428 moved from CDP L2 MAC 04:18:D6:AE:30:B7, CDP port br0, CDP LP IP address192.168.80.234 to CDP L2 MAC Unstable, CDP Port Unstable, CDP L2 IP address:"

Any ideas.

thanks.

I blame the cabling.

Normally when I see Unstable it is a connection issue, a switch loop, redundant/aggregation link switching or routing traffic "oddly" , but since these units are on Streamline the chances are lower that is the case (assuming they are co-located with the 3300). I would verify networking for switchloops and reboot the Streamline unit.

TBH, if I see a Streamline unit fail, it is usually a hard failure like 12 ports go dead, rarely intermittent issues if at all.

Thanks for the reply, we tried already to re-cabling all ip phone but still the same issue. I think the problem is the steamline unit.
