I'm on the Phone Light for Mitel
« on: August 29, 2016, 07:52:50 PM »
Hey Gents,

our Corporate office uses Shoretel and most of us have a Plantronics DECT headset.  The headset comes with a 3.5mm jack to plug a microphone into (the microphone sits over the speaker of the phone and can notify you if your phone is ringing when your not at the desk.).  Another use for this jack is for an eggplant covered, egg shaped device that lights up with red LED's when your on a call.  Is there something like that for a Mitel phone?

Plantronics headsets work fine with Mitel phones, you have to use the lifter kit... same thing goes, you can get a "in use" light that plugs into the lifter module, it not really a phone thing but a headphone thing.

For right now we have been using the Mitel DECT headset.  Both the Mitel and Plantronics are the same price point, so my boss made the decision to use the Mitel DECT headsets when they are asked for by the facility.

To my knowledge there is no in-use light for the Mitel branded headset.
